  • The Sword could probably cover this decently.

  • Amo esta canción, amo Queensrÿche! Larga vida a su metal!

  • my brain explodes every time the vocals on this one start. If you needed a helmet for this, search the live in tokyo version of "En Force" on youtube. He did that too. Live. LIVE. *brain explode* GEOFFFFFFFFFFFFFF I LOVE YOU

  • i am 51 years old and i remember this band :o) ~

  • im ten AND I LOVE THIS SONG :D

  • This is real rock!

  • Es un clasico del Heavy Metal, el rango vocal muy similar al de Bruce Dickinson

  • '80s--Heavy Metal--Tate/DeGramo--A Memory that never dies!

  • it does not get any better than this

  • Puro metal al 100%. Terrible tema, de los mejores de Queensryche.

  • Still unreal!!

Poor clueless new school a-holes with their gay rap and rap/rock crap!

  • @summer999ppp ikr jesus my era sucks w music!

  • was thinking about this the other day. If you like this musical era, and Queensryche's sound in particular, there are a few bands who have this feel now. Check out Amorphis from Finland or several other bands in their category. I was listening to Amorphis' recent 'Skyforger' album and kept thinking it sounded like classic era Queensryche. Check it out and enjoy.

  • it's beautiful and it kicks your a** at the same time!! this band is sooo amazing!!

  • Way ahead of its time.

  • All the facets of this song are just great, but the drums just KIIIILLLL!!!!

  • THIS IS REAL MUSIC P

  • I prefer John Arch over Geoff Tate. No lie.

  • See what awesome kind of music the "Seattle Movement" pushed out of the limelight?! For almost 10 years we had to suffer through crap because it was cheap to produce! Sad!

  • Thanks for posting this. I just ordered "Rage for Order" Yes I know this isn't on it. But I thought I'd share. I love these albums.

  • this band kicked ass even up to the 90´s with empire, and best i can excellent musicianship and master performance from seatle.

  • At such a young age this album opened my eyes.

  • i see the future in this song

  • Brings me back to the days saving money 2 buy my Pedulla bass so I could rock out w the guys! All my girls were into Poison and Warrent as if they were attractive? Not I as I wanted to rock out. It started when we got MTV and I saw this freaky dude and heard .."You fumble for you're keys Im 6 or 7 steps behind you!.' Immediately bought the tape and I cranked the Ryche and Fates Warning No Exit non stop freshman and sophmore year. By my junior year I then switched it up to Badmotorfinger

  • @grinninh I got Fates Warning Awaken the Gaurdian and was like what the fuck is that thing on the mic... It was pretty fuckin terrible.

    He is way too nasally..

  • @supmayne1 Awaken the Guardian has John Arch on vocals, and yes he was nasally. Do yourself a favor and listen to the No Exit album with Ray Alder on vocals, including The Ivory Gate of Dreams. You will be glad you did.

  • @supmayne1 Yea, that dude sucks goat balls.

  • @supmayne1 fuck right off, john arch has more feeling than anyone, clean out your ears you dick

  • @joshmattg God forbid someone has an opinion...

  • @supmayne1 no but seriously, i bet you hate geddy lee's voice of rush aswel, so easily tolerable

  • @joshmattg They are not even close to sounding the same. High pitch doesnt bother me at all. Im use to John Arch now, he doesnt bother me. The only singer that truly rapes my ears is Realm's singer.

  • @supmayne1 Well thats fair, I mean no1 has a voice like John Arch, hes very unique if you think about it.

  • @grinninh awesome man :)

  • Hello all. I love the old stuff. I feel like a kid in a candy store.

  • @medevac777 I saw Them open for Metallica and that tour was short lived because Metallica wanted them gone because People were overwhelmingly more impressed by the performance of Queensryche nigt after night.Queensryche sounded just like the album and Metallica sounded close but their thrash style didn't have the artistic and musical perfection that you found in Queensryche and even the average listener was picking up on that;musician's picked up on it right away.

  • @blitzspeer Was that for the And Justice for all tour? If so I agree I went there to See Metallica but i was blown away my Queensryche and Geoff voice!!!

  • @blitzspeer Metallica sucks.

  • @infrared3717 Not hardly arse wipe.

  • This album has great lyrics! The whole piece is magnificent, but the lyrics really dig deep for me when I hear this album...

  • Scott Rockenfields China on that album is superb.Roads to Madness is the most dynamic drumming on the album, sound quality, and clarity is lengendary and high tech for 84',beauiful sound with crisp complex arrangements.

  • I'm surprised no one ever comments on how awesome the drummer is. The guy has taste, Ive always loved scott;s drumming.

  • @cavecandle31 Because he isn't married to Pamela Anderson and doesn't do straight 4/4 beats through all of his songs. Scott's legendary.

  • @cavecandle31, same here. I go to lots of concerts, different genres, but I have to say when I first heard Queensryche, Scott's drumming definitely caught my ear, more so than any other band. He deserves more recognition and propers. RYCHE ON!

  • mi primera cancion que escuche de ellos alla en el 84 para mi fue la voz y la armonia de la cancion me impresiono es una de mis favoritas.

  • damn right, they're the best along with maiden, priest, cooper and other metal bands that really rock...

  • since the recent rains happened in southern california, i decided to listen to "Before the Storm", and what memories it has brought me back, not only is this a great rock song, well crafted, but it includeds the sound of the most brilliant guitar duo of this time, Degarmo and Wilton...I went to this tour, which Queensryche opened for KISS, the queensryche boys were the act to see...talented, amazing, brilliant. no doubt we will miss these times, but the recordings are all we have, rock on!

  • @peewee6652 Im sorry but if you like these guys thats great- you can even say they are your favorite- thats all subjective but to say those guys are the best guitar duo of thier time? Thats plain insanity. Truth is that the band was average at best- with a fantastic singer. KISS sucked. The Kiss army sucked, the kiss this that and the other thing all sucked- even the KISS lunchbox sucked arse.

  • @mucephi1 can you name a better guitar duo of their time?

  • @mucephi1 KISS don't suck...they're just millions of bands better than them. And King Diamond ("Them" era) had the best guitar duo in the 80's, hands down. And Helloween, and Priest, and Maiden, and...wow, KISS do suck...

  • @xxxhentaikingxxx Hetfield & Hammett were pretty good in the '80's as well! One of my favorite concerts was Metallica & 'Ryche on the "Justice" tour!!

  • Best song on the album

  • simply unbelievably storming!!!!!

  • Such a magnificent song from a magnificent band.

    God, I miss this sound.

  • well said...and this is one of my favorite songs and albums ....class act

  • we watch the sun rise and fall!!!

  • That it does JIF882...this cd is awesome!

  • Wow i can't believe no one has commented oh well i will be the first and say that this song rules!!!

  • Agreed. Actually, this whole CD rocks... HARD!!
