I love Asian cinema and I knew of Battle Royale for a while but I didn't think I'd like it as I thought it would be silly OTT gore/violence with no actual story but... I saw it yesterday and I was blown away with how good it was. Was hooked from first minute to last and it really is a great story. I hope they never even attempt to remake this piece of cinema gold. One of the best films Ive possibly ever seen.

It's best to watch a film with NO expectations, so do not hunt down trailers and reviews before seeing a film, just give it a shot and judge with your own eyes, mind and heart, too many people accept another person's opinion as fact, but only you can make your own truth,

I want to give you one tip. If your making movie trailer, don't EVER use that one million twentytwo hundred thousand times heard "Lux Aeterna" which is used in every single fan made movie trailers to get avoid from viewers indescribable frustation!

I love Asian cinema and I knew of Battle Royale for a while but I didn't think I'd like it as I thought it would be silly OTT gore/violence with no actual story but... I saw it yesterday and I was blown away with how good it was. Was hooked from first minute to last and it really is a great story. I hope they never even attempt to remake this piece of cinema gold. One of the best films Ive possibly ever seen.
