  • 6 pages of comments and no spitting wow

no disrespect to common or dilla , let me start it off cuz u are just gunna keep talkin about whos better than who when u should never compare people esp not dilla and premo get the fuck outa here.

act surprised.....when \ fame changes us

beautiful songs derived from same language's

common minds \ and stilll the same anguishes

we came far foreal the same pain exist's ,

  • Def one of my fav Common tracks and albeit this was a dope album I still think Like Water For Chocolate was his best material Dilla is ridiculous . . . the only person comparable I would say is Damu The Fudgemonk their sound is similar this is what we need to Re-Fresh Hip-Hop

  • Who Is Willie Lincisile The Dude He Say Be Afraid

  • This beat is very organic, just pure dopeness! I would've loved to have been in the studio with them during this session!

  • what the fuck its just a instrumental. please next time u put up a song say its a instrumental

  • Yup, that's actually true.

  • me 2 we got gypped lol

  • Be like Sambo... with baaaad hair!

  • Will always go down as my favorite Dilla beat...i will never get tired of this sound. God, the things i would do to have Dilla back and producing beautiful music with class act hip hop artists such as Common. He lives on through Pete Rock and 9th Wonder.

  • beautiful stuff man, im really feelin this

  • This song is a major eason why this album is a hip-hop classic.

Prime example of how to close out a classic album.

Can't compare two greats like dilla and premo. they were fans of each other.

Premo had an interview where he said that dilla was out of this world with his creativity and had a tendency to take a song and not sample the obvious but use a piece that nobody else would think about and create a classic.

Example: Get dis money- slum village = Herbie hancock- come running to me

  • Preemo greatest producer all time? Get the hell outta here yall is commenting on a DILLA track. Jay Dilla stood the test of time making BIG TIME hits through damn near EVERY generation of hip-hop and R&B who the hell is a versatile as dilla? Dilla was doin tracks for Janet and Pac andI STILL think that Dre took this dude beat "swagger" when dre switch his sound up in the mid to late 90's. Premo was hot but dilla took it to another level while premo was still in his prime...

  • you win the internet. thank u

  • preemo greatest producer of all time hands down

  • this is the epitomy of true hip hop from the music (way to beautiful to be called a track) to the lyrics arrangement...the music industry is destroying true hip hop...and by the way Premo can never be compared to anyone, he and GURU built part of the infrastructure that hip hop STILL stands on.. Jaydee is a beast for this one..CLASSIC!!

  • swiming in the waters because the jewels are within philoshohpers deeep and the voices in mind always repeat always reapet soemtimes i spit my sword out like a fool always repeats and its the reason i always choose to be the path of the wise man always can be down to the most dominatn gene you fully understand knowledge when you find peace peace peace st king allah 7

  • this shit is deep

  • so I watched Close Encounters of the Third Kind last night and there's a scene where one of the characters says "I'm a cartographer... A Mapmaker!" and hearing Common's father say it I'm thinking maybe he was referring to that, because he laughed a little after he said it. What a great song. One of my favorites!

  • darien brockington (R&B Singer) would rip this on an r&b tip

  • ''we stay high that's why old folks

down us, lost nobody found us

the force that surrounds us aint wit us''

  • "the force that surrounds us aint wit us

they get us on the ground and hit us

we paint pictures of the change

    under they names is scriptures."

  • excellent song.....thank you.....too.good

  • i heard a resemblance to DONUTS here,

man J Dilla was too ill.

    Dilla and Common.

    Favorite Producer, Favorite EMCEE

    gahhh.

  • this shit is hard, Newkirk-Music Brooklyn NY, Franklin Ave, 1

  • common killed it on this one:

'she know dairy so she say cheese to get bread.'

    that nigga common is uncommon.

  • This track is too smooth and intelligent. I wish that Common dude would've made a video for this song. I hate major labels for this reason. Listen to how J had those horns come in. Gangsta! Then the piano chords taking you outro! Damn. J dilla You live forever my dude!! This was one of Common's best cuts ever!

  • That's ma fav part of the beat when he brings dem horns

  • I love that part too, gotta love how dilla used live instruments :)

  • such a goob vibe to this track

  • I know it is. I'm graduating with my Bachelors in Liberal Arts this May and this song is my personal mantra for life. "It's {MY} World".

  • Congradulations I think thats really cool. this is also one of my favorite songs!!:)

  • YEs!!!i love it!!!thanks man!

  • produced by jaydee, aka j dilla

  • thanks for this instrumental

  • naw man! it was produced by da one and only J Dilla!

  • yes very true and here I was thinking for the longest time it was produced by Kanye. I should have been able to tell by the sound of the snare and hats and just the strait forward Genius of the track.

  • premo sounds nothing like this.

  • nah hes in a league of his own

  • i think Premoo is more hiphop than soulful hiphop, sure jay dee had some hard hip hop tunes, but premo had more, tht might b cus premo is older and been around longer.

  • You say that shit to look deep or u just had to come with a oppinion, next thing u do is probably write ur top 10 best list shit Fuck it im here enjoying this beat and i dont want no "this is better then that bla bla" enjoy the fucking beat , premo is a beast also , he dont need no more rep

When i enjoy premo shit i dont want anyone to write about OTHER people in his shit eather fuck that chit chat shit....TO MUCH OF IT GOD DAMNIT!!

  • Nigga are you on drugs?

  • Lol i probably was high as a mofo.... Dont even remember writing this shit...

  • haha word, it's understandable. when you high you just wanna try to fix things up and make everything more enjoyable. Nobody fucks with good music :).

  • I know!!! WTF?

  • it depends all on what you like! I think i like dilla even a bit more. Actually it's a draw, but you know ...
