  • Just gotta say that I love this classic Don Shiff performance! You are so the funky "Rocket Scientist' !!

  • Don you are awesome.

  • Sounds like a Clavinette.

  • magic! pure bliss.... thanks! :)

The fact that there are not much unwanted string noise is of course due to the excellent player but also to playing technique of tapping the strings. When you tap you hit the string from a finger position in the air, like a hammer. This causes less noise compared to (the non-tapping playing technique) moving fingers between frets while still often in contact with the strings.

  • is it the insturment or the player that make it possible to play these without unwanted string noise and undesirde overtones?

  • every model of stick has a damper under the first fret, you can engage it at will, or lower it to play with the open string, in this case i believe that the player ( an amzing one as don schiff ) gives an amazing contribute with a very clean technique but the damper is still there :)

  • i just slapped myself with shock!I wish i could learn to play like that!

  • bad sound, great playing

  • this is why the stick was made. what a fabulous player

  • Wow!

  • go don go!!! Ü
