The original is the best- Swedish version, and for those who didint know, Tove jansson is the creator of moomins, shes a swedish speaking living in Finland,or lived she died 2001. Some people may not know but we speak 2 languges in Finland , Finnish,AND Swedish.The Swedish we speak in Finland is a bit different then what they speak in Sweden , thats why it might confuse some people, but anyways, Moomins are great .

They have a beautiful song and lovely animation, whereas the Finnish and English version have a pretty decent song but with mostly repeated footage from the show.

The reason all the English speaking people hate this so much is the voice acting. The characters sound like they have had helium and the voices are fucked up. I saw them in Finnish and I just can't love them enough.

This series was a little scary in places, but theoriginal stories by Tove Jansson were very dark as well. But this version was nowhere near as scary as the 1980s series "The Moomins"!
