  • im an alto and i have a competition for solo & ensemble this saturday and need help to really hit those high pitches. does any one have a tip for me on how to go up there without straining my voice? im also having trouble with my breath support. if anyone can tell me then that would really help me alot, thank you. :)

  • It would be better to start warming up with a couple of scales ONLY HUMMING the notes with a closed mouth and open jaw so that the teeth dont touch, smiling lightly also bringing the lips away from the teeth so as to project the sound as much as possible.That is how one warms up the chords...then... you continue with open mouth...
