Here is where I disagree with you, I am from the UK and have worked in our health system, it is not perfect but it is a great system, and makes sure the most vunerable are looked after. When I went to America, the poor were really in bad shape because of lack of health insurance, you just dont see that in this country. When I went to America, the poor were really in bad shape because of lack of health insurance, you just dont see that in this country. The healthcare bill specifically "is silent" on abortion, allowing demoncrats to remove restrictions on abortion funding and to leave abortion funding decisions to the pro-abortion HHS secretary. Every attempt to rectify this by amending the bill has been blocked by the pro-abortion demoncrats. The healthcare bill most certainly will be used to fund abortions and funnel taxes to Planned Parenthood and back to the demoncrats.

Doctors / Hospitals are supposed to donate a portion of their time on Free care to those people. The only "Cost" in those cases is the materials used. Syringes, medications, etc. The CARE is donated.
When All have insurance on a gov. program, none of that is donated any more, and Every visit is paid for by tax dollars.

Yes. A system that allows for patients and doctors to decide your healthcare plans is as close to a perfect system as possible. Then Ted Kennedy proposes HMOs to get between you and your doctor. Then when Kennedy's plans screw up the healthcare system, he flip-flops and turns against the HMOs (at least his rhetoric was against the HMOs; he still took their money and did favors for them). Healthcare must be separated from government interference. Pro-life is necessarily pro-freedom.

My father then had a heart attack and the insurance company BAILED ON HIM AFTER SURGERY and refused to pay. yup.. wouldn't it suck if your wife or your son or your mother got sick? then you would spend all your money on the healthcare bills? there goes all your hard work, there goes all your saved up money...

If my family got really, horribly badly sick I'd be okay BECAUSE I HAVE SAVINGS AND INSURANCE!!! You know...the responsible thing you're supposed to have!?! A hedge against a really bad risk with only a small chance of happening!?! I would rather work 3 jobs, around the clock, and be a proud, independent, self-reliant, "selfish" ADULT then sit there and whine and cry and so I can't do it and demand a bail-out from the government. I'm not weak. I can take care of myself and so should you!

not everyone has the same chance that you do, some people are still young when they get sick some people are really old when they get sick, some people are hard working but never made a fortune like you did, if you got sick i dont think you would be in any condition to work three jobs to pay for $200k surgeries... while you can afford to save and to have insurance, not everyone can... if you were in a poor persons shoes you would agree with me...
