My parents were the wind beneath my wings but when they died (and I was only 32 when both were gone) my husband suddenly became the "wind". We've been together almost 40 years and he's my "everything". This is a wonderful song.

January 13th, 1990, i married my husband. this was our wedding song. In July of 1991, our marriage broke down. I left with our 15 month old son. My husband couldn't deal with it. On July 26th, he planned to kill himself,me and our son. I told him to do what he had to do, and i had my son in my arms, and my hand on the doorknob, when i heard the shot. He died within minutes. I'll never know if we had a chance of getting back together. I miss you Tony and this is still our song.

When I was a Senior in high school, I belonged to an award winning Chamber Chorus. That year, the Superintenant (sp?) of Schools wife passed away. We were asked to sing this song at the funeral. It has been a tradition in our town that when anyone of "importance" passes within the district, this song is sung at their funeral as well. Not only is this my favorite scene from my favorite movie, but it also holds a special place in my heart for my grandma that died of heart failure in 2000.
