C'mon, it's a new design. I just got mine and I love it! I'm sure Apple will release a pass-thru remote cable or dock, to hook up to a stereo. I got it for running, biking, skydiving. If I want to do other things, I use my iPhone. I say - Win!

wow, I gotta say this new one sucks. making the controls on the headphones means you're stuck with what you've got. you can ONLY use the apple brand, and you can't plug it into a stereo system or anything. it also means that if you lose them, you have to buy a $40 - $50 replacement at the nearest apple store or the thing is useless.

I really love apple but this isnt a good product... y would u move the controls off the product to the crappy head phones ......and the voice thingy is annonying....verry verry verry annonying...i dont have the new shuffle but i got the voicethingy on ma ipod nano 4th gen and its verry annonying...and the shuffle is too small...and with somethin without a screen should have more battery life.....bad product

The new shuffle looks good but moving the controls from the device to the headphones seems like a dumb design move; having to press, double press a button below your chin doesn't seem that convenient nor does being forced to wear thoses crappy headphones just so i can use the device. Apple designers, really what were you thinking?

This is one of the dumbest tech design ever.....

Not only are you dependent on only 1 player(ipod - which only syncs with ITUNES).... now a user will be stuck with 2 - the player and the earphones(without which you cannot change anything else on your player).

Most people really hate those Apple earbuds so the fact that you can't use your own headphones with this new Shuffle is going to piss a lot of people off.

The canned computer voice telling you what you're listening to is a joke. That will get annoying and useless very fast for most Shuffle users.

I love Apple, but I think this product is a major mistake that is bound to flop...
