They are far more friendly and elegant than some people seem for them to be.

they make great companions and to top it off, they pretty and lovely cats.

i suggst getting one if you want a pure bread cat.

they live the longet out of most pure bred cats. i think that the oldest one was 24 and they are very healthly cat, soo.

they also LOVE to play and are very talented cats. they have a special gift that jus about any cat-lover would enjoy!

It's true that Siamese are extremely loyal, loving and are born exhibitionists. Whilst writing this, my Siamese Cat is trying to get on my lap as she thinks I have spent too much time doing something in which she is not involved. She was amazed by some of the videos of noisy siamese cats, she looked behind the screen but couldn't work out where it was coming from, so they aren't necessarily bright!!! However, they are normally very loyal to a particular person.

Mine isn't, mine only shouts for food :( however, be aware of som,e other strange traits, such as eating weird things. Mine will do anything to get hold of hair elastics, and had to have emergency surgery the other day, as he ate a 4 ft long shoe lace!

What gets me is people who have this preconcieved notion that siamese, or any crossed bred siamese cat are mean, disloyal, and a bad breed. They obviously never had one of their own, or bothered to socialize theirs if they did. Mine live in a household that is a menagerie of pets, children, and a neighbrohood of other animals as well, so my pets don't know what a stranger is, and treats everyone kindly.

Yea, I think he is a cross tho. His eyes aren't the true bright blue of a siamese. And he isn't quite as loud as a purebred, but he sure is pretty, and a favored cat of mine, and any one that introduces themselves to him, he is a teddy bear, and doesn't know a stranger!

I have to be careful, because he goes outdoors with me walking around the neighborhood, I'm leery someone might snatch my baby.

My Siamese never claws anything either, he does the same to my leg as well and uses his paw to tap on me to say hey mum feed me or pick me up. I dont think i could go back to another cat after having a Siamese. They are quite similar to dogs in some ways.

Actually, out of the 15 or so cats that I've owned Siamese are by far the least destructive. At least to things they're not supposed to destroy. They've never clawed any of our furniture for instance. All three of them have been this way.

Yep, he sure was ... or at least it appears that way. A lot of pure "Wedgies" are like this, they see fine though. I guess somewhere along the line people decided they didn't like that and started breeding it out of them, what a shame.

Yep, that's little Mika. He was just a few months old in that video. Sad to say he passed away at ~1 yr. Unknown causes - the vet couldn't figure out why, but probably something neurological.

Oh- god no. Mika's illness came on suddenly over a few days when we had left town for a family member's funeral. When we got back and noticed he was ill, we took him right in, only to have him stuck in the hospital for a few days before he went into seizure and died. TRAGIC. We still miss him. Our new Koda has some of his traits, but Mika was surely one of a kind.

He plumped up for a while. It seems that shortly after he turned a year old he started slimming down. It's just his natural way - his sister is pretty "thick" but she's not even a year yet. Guess I'll wait and see if she slims back down or not.

Of course running around the house at 80 MPH all the time probably keeps his figure in check :o)
