No, there's a difference between injuring and stiffing. Injuring is being a dick and dropping a guy on his head or not catching him on a plancha, stiffing is like a hard club or chop. Back then, it was the norm to do that to rookies. The reason it made such an impression on Hogan is that I guess he was so big that most people he could hold his own with as far as being stiff, but Andre was just so much bigger than him that he really couldn't.
