  • I now have a new favourite performance of this on YouTube. This one! Thanks for sharing. :-)

  • she's the best!!! does anyone know where i can get a score of this version? :)))) pleeeeease... thaaanks! :)

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA........

  • Kristin Chenoweth should do this..

  • Too much mugging, at the sacrifice of the music.

  • GREAT!!!!! :D

  • she's awesome!

  • I do not care for this interpretation at all. :-(

  • @adasilva26 And just whose interpretation DO you care for? Kiri Te Kanawa's??

I think Jennifer is FABULOUS, and makes it her own!!!!!!

  • @Rapture1987 Actually, No I don't like Kiri's either.

  • Fabulous performance! My vocal coach just gave me this piece, and now I'm looking forward to singing it! Keep up the amazing voice!

  • She is soooooooooooo good!!!! Love this performance!

  • Brava!! I sang this last year. GREAT rendition!!!

  • she's wonderful.

  • I saw this on Classic Arts Showcase last night and it's wonderful!!

  • brava Jenny!

  • what´s the name of this song?

  • @keyphi Art Is Calling For Me

  • Beautiful woman with beautiful voice!

  • Awesome!

  • OMFG this is a real dive

such a color in her voice GOD

haha love it for real and she mixes with una voce poco fa *.*

  • I love this woman. What a wonderful, fluid voice.

  • I saw Jenny do this number in person. It was at the recital she gave at Chapel Hill, NC, USA, It was great! I met her afterwards, took pics, got one of her and me together. She did the Habanera and 2 others from Carmen at that recital. If Bizet's Carmen looks like Jenny at age 50 or 51, she'll be doing all right. In reference to some other comments which I don't really understand, I don't think we have to worry about Jenny not being able to sing. She will sing in Hamlet at a theater near you.

  • fantastica lei:)

  • welll shes definiatlly real Hawt!

  • Agreed her singing is beautiful but still finding it a bit much.

  • viva to the diva!!!!

  • she is really overacting

  • richard: nonsense! this is satire!

  • Okay, is it just me, or did she look (and dound) much happier when she had a little more weight on her? She's gotten dangerously skinny these days, and I doubt that frail a body will be able to support a magnificent sound like this...

  • What operetta is this from?

  • The enchantress

  • @prettybutterfly2007 thank you!

  • Great performance, but her singing is truly amazing. I want to know more about Jennifer now!

  • Brava!!

  • stupendaaaa..l'ho sentita anche dal vivo in questo pezzo..impressionante!! ;)

  • Haha this is great! Very funny.

  • Viva to the diva!

  • A master class in 4:23 min !!! thanks for posting this!

  • It's lovely to see this acted out well.. She's a doll and does a wonderful rendition of this.

  • You're already a prima donna !! \m/

  • Wow - ok this is better than Dame Kiri - but it's almost a monologue the way she devotes herself to the words.

  • I love how flexible this song is. You can have a lot of fun with it. This is a great performance of it.

  • Viva to the diva indeed!!

  • She is awesome but she does that weird vibrato mouth thing that whitney Huston does

  • A divinely lovely diva. She owns this.

  • oh I love it!!

  • Anyone have lyrics to this? Please?

  • Comment removed

  • do you have the sheet music???

  • Brava to the Diva!

  • That ending was awesome. This was so great!

  • What a great singer and performer is Jennifer Larmore. I am in love with her in the 200's the same way I was with Dawn Upshaw and Carol Vaness in teh e "90's and Frederica von Stade in the "80's. And I'm still in love with all those singers. Brava, Jennifer!

  • i love the mezzo gusto that jennifer larmore gave the piece!!! the rossini-esque styling is awesome!!!

  • amazing what she did

i think she is the best for the song

i hear alot of sopranos sung it but is not like jennifer larmore

    woooooooooow

  • bellissimissimo

  • She is awesome and what a beautiful face!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!! She's so alive and looks great singing this song!

  • I love her performance she is the best i am so glad to have her as a personal friend GO MRS JENNY

  • super super je l'adore!!

    bravoooooo!

  • Hahaha... I love that she stuck Una Voce Poco Fa (right?) in there... Awesome.

  • Haha yes that was clever

  • Fantastic performance ... not only a great voice but a big personality which shines through! Great talent and highly entertaining! Thank you for posting!

  • Brava! Brava! Encore, Encore!!!

  • That's hilarious!

  • bravissima!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hahahaha awesome!

  • I just love her energy and zing :)

  • I think she´s very pretty and with a great voice and performance.

    She charms us all

  • Great performance! Very expressive and funny.

  • Alas this is all wrong. This is a piece for a blonde high coloratura - think Cunegunde, Blonchen or Olympia. Larmore is too knowing. The part is for an empty headed youngster not a woman of the world.

  • Well, that's a narrow view...Expand your horizons, man! Jennie sure does.

  • Oh come now! This is Victor Herbert! This is Broadway! You can never be too knowing on Broadway! Victor Herbert operatteas were satire in a Vienesse accent from top to bottom! Larmore gets it. Viva to the Diva!

  • Funny is not the word...I just heard her do this as an encore with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and it's even better and funnier in person. People were screaming with laughter! Thanks Jennie!!!

  • Great! Not only she sings it wonderfully, but she's also damn funny heheheheheh! I think she did realize her dream: she's a prima donna, indeed! ;-)

  • Not only does she have a great voice, but she's super nice. I did an opera with her husband who is also an amazing singer and she came out and drank with all of us after show. Very cool lady!

  • Larmore has a great talent, singing and acting she just let you "feel" music.

  • Wow, she's excellent!!!!!!

  • the best version of "Art is calling for me" is Kiri TeKenawa....

  • VIVA TO THE DIVA!!!!!

  • good job ... I love doing that song .... but I changed many of the lyrics.... VIVA TO THE DIVA

  • She is Prima Donna!Donna!Donna!

    so funny~ so lovely~ so pretty~ so cute~

    BRAVA!!!!!!!!

  • Gourgous! And she is right! I want to be a primadonna either, in fact, i am not a soprano...

  • Hilarious ! Bravaaaaaa !

  • is excellent for my ancore where I can get the score of this song? Jennifer Larmore is the best mezzo arround the world

  • It's from The Enchantress by Victor Herbert...And, yes, JeLa is the best mezzo in the world!!!

  • It's from The Enchantress by Victor Herbert. And, yes, JeLa is the best mezzo in the world!

  • JeLa? Hahaha, I'm sure she would love that.

  • that was fun! great ending ...ahah im still laughing. :)
