I love this song, and have heard several versions. And I love to hear Russ Taff sing anything. Although I expected more range in the voice, I like it anyway. Two of the best versions I have heard are Patsy Cline, and Lacey J. Dalton. But what a surprise to see an actual video!
Hadn't heard the song before checking out this clip/video. Two things I liked; 1, looks like Russ' wife is in the video. The one with blond curly hair. 2, the lead guitarist looks like he's using an original Danelectro guitar! Wonder if it's just used in the video, or if he really recorded & giged with it! Thanks for posting this! Peace! jonny
What a wonderful song and treat to see such a young Russ Taff.Love the song.5 stars! Thank you for posting and sharing this edin512.You blessed my soul.Agapa, Lisa
thanks ShinningRain68 for sending me this link...you like it too (I already have it as my featured video) but so glad to know you love it as much as I do...it is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
come join us as we talk about the future of YouTube and where do you think it's heading in my new chat room ...go to google and key in the word "Markammp" see you there.
If any1 wants 2 know, I found out what YEAR this song's from. It's on a CD my mom has from 1991. This vid is pretty good, considering I don't like country music!
That was cool to see. I knew Jackie Street and Kim Keyes back in the late '80s during my time in the CCM scene. In fact, I once spent about an hour singing with James Hollihan auditioning for Russ's backup vocalist position. It didn't work out in the long run but it wouldda been fun.
Oh my Gosh. I did not follow Russ into CCM, but he could make it to the top. I love it. Please, anyone else got some of these pre "turn of the century" recordings!?!
I've always love Russ' version of this :)
