Lilith, I cant manage to do long-lasting curls in my hair. I have long medium size straight hair and have a 1 1/4"inch barrel, Ive tried many settings and none is working to create curls. What temperature you usually use? I've also tried rollers with no luck. Any recommendation will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

i have a problem, when ever i use a wider barrel curling iron like a 1or larger inch barrel my curls never last longer than an hour even with a large amount of hairspray. any tips on steps i should do to make long lasting curls????

I have found that using a hotter curling iron (be sure to be using some type of heat protection creme or spray!) and/or a slightly smaller barrel helps with this. Also, it is important to make sure that the hair cools completely before touching or brushing. I hope this helps!

@wanda190 its being done by doing the steps which she did in the beginning of her braid, divide into 2 sections and from each section bring a small amount of hair to the front and add to the other section, then do the same with that section and sooo on. hope this helped :)

And coming from someone that has thick hair- It's annoying!. ;) It took me an hour to curl my layered shoulder-length hair today with a 410 degree straightener. It took 3 hours when I had long uniform-length hair and used a low quality curling iron.
