The thing about reintroducing big cats (tiger, lion, jaguar and leopard) to the wild again is the hunting. Cubs have to learn to hunt from their mothers or they won`t learn it at all. No, hunting -> no food -> scavenging or death. No big cat born in a zoo learn how to hunt, so the day they`re extinct in the wild nature has lost something forever. But Christian was a male lion. They don`t hunt anyway. No problem, his wife did it for him.

This doesnt seem true. A lion only becomes the head of a pride when he is old enough (has a mane) judging from this it seems like the entire pride is a group of lions who all used to be in captivity.

Also a man from nowhere just suddenly walks behind them with no fuss from the lion or his wife. They are obviously used around humans.
