  • Hey guys is this normal? I have a 3D TV and when I play gears in 3D it looks fine but when I press the guide button on the controller everything looks bigger and double imaged, also notifications look too big, but yeah the game looks fine. please help!

  • hopefully u or someone who knows can help, my tv has a SENSIO 3D setting and SBS 3D also whats the diffrence? and wich one is better to use?

  • Thanks a lot for sharing this video - I just got a 3dTV and was looking around for how to test the 3d. You did a great job with this, and your right -no one really is talking about the 3d stuff. It is amazing (I have a 55" in my living room) Have your tried it on Crysis 2 - that may even be better. I have heard that the latest Motorstorm on PS3 might be the best way to show off the technology- sure people have their own opinions though and will say I am wrong.

  • why i cant select the others 3d channels? i just can select the 2d-3d option. i can slect the othrs one! help me!!!!

  • I just got a 42 led 3d tv from Vizio and all I get is two screens when I try to put gears in 3d, anyone know what I need to do? Do I need to buy dif hdmi cables or something???? Please help

  • @Jeremylb618 Yo I got the same tv lol. It doesn't work for me either. The tv won't let me access 3D mode.

  • I just got a 42 inch led 3d vizio and for some reason it won't let me click on the 3d mode :/ I have an hdmi cable and everything else and idk what the problem is. could it be the wrong hdmi cable or something?

  • @kaz210 I have the same problem. I got the 42in from walmart and all i get is a side by side by the 3D from the tv is not accessible.

  • @MadSkillz2468 Same here! I can play Batman Arkham City in 3d no problem. But in Gears 3 and Nba 2k12 I can't access the 3D mode on my tv. All I get is the side by side crap on my screen and no way of getting it to work. I even bought a new hdmi cable that was "3D Ready" and still I get nothing.

  • @kaz210 I have the vizio too, works just fine, with a cheap hdmi

  • @eam3618 damn idk why it still doesn't work for me :/

  • @kaz210 try a different hdmi, or try a different hdmi input, such as 1 2 or side hdmi input

  • how do i select the 3D thumbnail on the TV?...please help me..i mean the two images so i can see gears in 3D!, it`s the only step i`m missing.

i dont know how to configure the screen...i just bought it. SONY.

  • Hey you are that guy from the movie "The transporter" Good job dude :D

  • Just wondering. Do you need a 3DTV to play this game? Or can you just use your glasses to play the game in 3D?

  • @TheeDevilWearsPrada You need a 3D TV 100%. The Xbox 360 games use Side by Side 3D tech and basically when you enable 3D in the games menu you will see two exact images in both half's of the screen. In code there are two equal buffers of the final rendered image of the scene. The 3D TV when switched to 3D mode will take these two images and combine them into one image. This is when your 3D glasses kick in and produce a 3D image on your end.

  • @valcanSshacknews cheers M8 this vid helped ALOT! :)

  • @valcanSshacknews NAME OF THE SONG PLEASE!!! :D

  • @TheeDevilWearsPrada no you just need the game

  • im deaf and um i have a question.. actually dumb question.. how do i get 3D from xbox360 system setting? i went there and look for it.. and there isnt 3D included..( could it be tv?) and also could u put subtitle of what u saying in the video and id appreciated that. thanks!

  • @squaguna Xbox 360 - System Settings - Console settings - Display - 3D TV - Enable - TV Size - set teh screen size Gears of Wars 3 - press start - Game will load up go into options - Video - press Y the yellow button for Setup 3DTV - Press Y to enable 3D support - Adjust the dept strength of the 3D crank it to max - The game will split the screen into two identical pictures TV controller and press enable 3D (how ever you do that on your TV) - TV will merge the two images into one
  • @squaguna Yeah it could be the TV is it HDMI 1.4 or HDMI 1.3, try and go into Gears and just enable the 3D in the video menu and then enable the 3D on your TV. If the two images merge then you should be in business and then just put on your glasses. If your TV is HDMI 1.4 and your amp is not do not go through your amp, connect directly and use optical out for sound to your amp.

  • @valcanSshacknews mmm i wonder how do i know if my tv is hdmi 1.3 or 1.4... well my tv is 32" JVC LCD flat panel.. i did type down on model number on google and find nothing about hdmi 1.3 or 1.4 but i do have hdmi tho and also i went thru my tv with remote to find 3d, i dont think have it... suggest?

  • @squaguna HDMI 1.3a and up can support 3D not problem via the cable or the connection. Having said that what is important is that you have a 3D TV. IF you don't have a 3D TV your screwed. HDMI 1.4 is starting to be checked to unlock the 3D features in the PS3 even though its not necessary so this will eventually get you in a bind if you don't have a HDMI 1.4 amp or TV that you can unlock the 3D feature on your consoles.

Good luck, hope its 3D Ready LCD.

  • It funny that console fanboys think that they are actually playing this game in full 1080p in 3d.

  • @bg048 I hear you, sure the 360 up scales to 1080p but the game natively is no where close in none 3D and in 3D it takes another hit. This is why I would love to see a Xbox 360 2 that will surely be full 1080p none and 3D that will be rad. Sure if its 3D their is the TV limitations to take in effect and you may not be able to do full 1080p 3D in most cases. Day it happens though it will be awesome for gaming.

  • I love the 3D for this game but xbox360 only puts out 500 something p not 720p like all 3d games for ps3

  • @i8balls Yeah, that is a down side for sure but you have to admit that is the hottest 520p or what ever, game you have ever seen in 3D :)

Once the next Xbox and PS come out owning a 3D TV will be a must I am sure of it, the game swill look crazy.

  • Both of my xbox 360 did not have the same 3d menu. I just started up gears 3 and then hit my sony 3d button on my tv and it is in 3d.

btw, what glasses are you using?

  • @JoshCousteau Hmm weird, are you going through a amp that is HDMI 1.3a, might be like the PS3 the 3D menu and settings will only show up if you go direct from your PS3 or 360. I fooled the PS3 this way by setting up the 3D then going back through my amp. Try it out with the 360, go from your 360 direct to the TV.

The only other thing I can think of is your screen is not HDMI 1.4 and is a 1.3a+ screen for its ports. 3D works fine but they lock the menus on the PS3 / 360.

  • @JoshCousteau The glasses I go are the [Polaroid Eyewear Diva 3D Glasses] 6pm-com/polaroid-eyewear-diva-3d-glasses The are awesome glasses you don't see the rims when you use them and they are full wrap around for 180 viewing in 3D. Totally worth it.

  • Wooo! we have the same LG cinema range tv! only mines a 47'' :D good times

  • @Tonyippee Cool a 47" very nice. Yeah its a fantastic screen I love it, the passive 3D is real nice and the colors and picture quality is top notch. I am very happy with the purchase of LG 42LW5600, you really can not go wrong. The only thing that threw me off was the green label button in the menu(was hard to find) that allowed me to set the HDMI ports to PC mode that removed all lag for my PC and consoles, which made it perfect.

  • @valcanSshacknews i prefer passive best also ,altho text is hard to read due to interlacing, but its much cheaper and less strain on eyes ,plus my 42 inch pasive TV was only £450 !

  • @valcanSshacknews I had to think long and hard about getting either passive or active 3D but in the end passive kept winning in every area, almost all the reviewers say the same aswell. looks like we have good taste lol

yeah the picture quality is fricking awesome, but some of the menu options can be a bit fiddly at times even for a tech whore like you & I. its worth the extra money you have to spend though

  • Valkan-agreed! Just got done trying it out in 3D. Wow. Insane! Thanks again!! :)

  • @Superherosolution Awesome :) enjoy, it really rocks.

  • Awesome thanks for this! Didn't even know this either!

  • @Superherosolution No worries, I know, I can not understand why its not all over the place on the net, if you have a 3D screen its a must try.

I am really looking forward to Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary in 3D stereo it should be very nice as well.
