it was written when maria was in high school, i think that it is about how like one of her friends kinda ditched her for the popular crowd and maria was left alone in the "minority" and maria knows that the populars won't care about her friend, and they don't nderstand how great the friend is when she is being her unique self.

I like the sound of this song and her voice. Though I don't get the lyrics. Could someone explain me what they mean? I tried to find it on google but I couldn't find the meaning. Is it about someone who's acting arrogant and maria wants to make that person see he's not better than anybody else? And does she talk about other people who are arrogant as well?
