In the movie James Masters play King Piccolo peoples(Piccolo daimaoh) and not the Piccolo JR from DBZ. This movie is a movie from DRAGONBALL series, not DRAGON BALL Z.

It hard to really tell anything about a two hour movie from a 2 minute trailer. True Master Roshi says that 7 mystics created the dragonballs, but if you remember Dragon Ball, no one knew where they came from-they had only legends-until they met Kami. So, it may be true to the story...

ONLY IF they bring in Kami in the movie to reveal everything about the balls and piccolo.

As for the Eclipse, that SHOULD be the summoning of Shenron to stay true to the story-as we know the sky does go dark.

In the TV spots they're openly optimistic, I'm not sure about the actual fanbase in Japan.

I think that it'll make around 60 million in Japan, just because there's so many fans there. It's the most popular manga and anime ever released there. If the Death Note film can make 50 million, Dragonball Evolution will thrash that.
