To all those who are calling it mutilation, permanent disfigurement, etc., yes, I can agree to that, but I'm going to be perfectly honest. I have yet to meet a circumcised man who thinks that. My own husband and I had arguments over it because he thinks it should just be done (for various reasons). It was done to every guy in his family before and after him, so he wrongly sees circumcised as the natural state. Still, less babies are being put through this now than twenty years ago. There's hope.
@trident3b ...because that's what the government wants them to think so they can continue to follow blindly. I think it's very sad, but most people won't listen to me, and I'm not trying to create waves for myself, so I don't make any scenes.
@trident3b It's not really as black and white as you may think. Parents here have been brainwashed into believing that their own instincts are nothing more than anxiety and doctors know best. I didn't grow up here and I believe doctors are imbeciles, but I do fear CPS to a point. So I did take my baby to a pediatrician a few times, but I took everything he said with a grain of salt. Most Americans, even those damaged by doctors will still believe they're simply paranoid...
I'm with elitedoomer. Just google the history of circumcision in America. It was strictly a religion, political and economical conspiracy. The f**g Christians who are so terrified of sex and the PENIS. It was an anti masturbation measure. But I am also against the practice among Jews & Moslems. It should be done IF wanted at puberty. That was the history. The covenant with god story is BULLSHIT!!
Fuck the human race, it deserves the extinction that waits for it. The same ignorance that mutilated me when I was too young to defend myself is the same ignorance that has us breeding out of control while consuming primarily fossil fuels. Stupid fucking humans, into the flames.
America is all messed up, we know. When you have a kid here, they actually hassle you about it. My sister has a son, and she said 4 nurses and 2 doctors came to her all at separate times to persuade her to mutilate her son. I'm glad she stuck with it and didn't. At one point she actually had someone make a sign to put on the door that said No Circumcision.
I just wished the americans would stop posting videos on this vile practice as if it were a matter for debate. It is as grotesque to discuss this as if one were to consider chopping a baby's hands off because it was born with red hair or anything else utterly as grotesque. Mutilating a human being just after birth is a sick vile & criminal act & that is what happens in the USA and deranged religious countries who practice this vile ritual from savage ages. Stop mutilating other people, period!
@trident3b You may not like it, but the reality of the situation is that it IS being debated. Many people are still ignorant of every aspect of this topic, so they choose to circumcise their children for reasons as simple as 'just because' or to 'look like daddy'. They have no idea exactly what they're choosing to do to their children, and like so many other choices parents make, if the doctor says it's a medical necessity, the vast majority of parents here will just accept it without question.
@kawaiilexie note though that this is being debated in the US (?), something that is not debated elsewhere since it is not a subject for debate. Forced mutilation of another person is something one might expect in backward or savage countries. You make a good point that people in the US are so gullible so ill educated that even their basic morals don't even kick in to question "can this be right?". It is the extensive lying & indoctrination in the US that allows this vile practice.
The Americans think that turning other people involuntarily into sexual spastics when they are defenceless, prevents HIV. Need we listen anymore to US reasoning?
It's great how Dr. Spock finally realized the truth about circumcision. But it makes me sad how a lot of American doctors are still spreading these circumcision medical myths even today.
@chachies his backpedalling is however FAAAAR to weak. The reason for this is his trying to soften the blow to his extreme wrong doing for all these years to 1000s of infants who are nothing but permanently damaged victims. It is also a testimony as to how apparent "experts" and apparent intellectuals in the US are such blithering idiots. This is of course greatly due to the absolutely unbelievable stupidity and very bad education that plagues the USA in such a monumental way.
