  • It's hard to put into words what these guys do. This is heavy stuff. Pure. And damn good.

  • I recorded a differnt version, no harp. 5:48 min off online blues radio.

Looked up the lyrics, can't find.

"the same thing make a bulldog fook a hound."

"what make it feel so good when when yo baby buy a evening gown?

what make ya feel so good when when yo baby buy a evening gown? "

Must be the same ol thing make a preacher lay 'is Bible down.

    Any ideas?

  • Diff version, no harp. 5:48 min. Why do all these men try to run a big leg'd woman down? rep Must be the same thing make a bulldog fuck a hound. ooo da same thing. rep 1 line [slow contemplative guitar solo] what make it feel so good when when yo baby buy a evening gown? ....

  • Who's blowing harp?

  • Holy shit! I thought that was Jimi for a minute! Buddy and Jimi looked a lot alike!

  • @KevoBlues88 Jimmy & Buddy look as much alike as night and day do!

  • Thats weird, I see what you mean on one shot around 1:30. You can't see the face but the expression of deep thought is exactly the same. Its probably a little more than pure coincidence.

  • @KevoBlues88 Buddy looks like a cross between Jimi and Wesley Snipes in this.

  • Damn right! haha

  • Jimi cancelled one of his shows in order to go see Buddy play a concert.

  • Hendrix and clapton both routinely wrapped up shows early in chicago so they could go see Buddy"s last set.

  • What Year is this ?

  • Excellent!!!

  • WOW!!!.....so good!!!!!!

  • True,gut-bucket blues.A lot of bands speed it up too much. They just don't understand how DEEP & HEAVY you can get playing slow. This should school em. It just don't get no betta !

  • Yeah, skinny white guy playing on the geeetar!

If only that could be my pale butt playing up there...

  • Blues is just perfect, but many people doesn't see the pain in it. But you can hear it in this guitar-solo. All the slides, and all the long notes. It says it all.

  • God these guys give me the chills.. great playing

  • Can someone please tell me that instrument's name that sounds like a sax almost... i forgot

  • harmonica, or in blues genre it is called a 'blues harp'.

  • Oh man...He looks so tired here. :( He'll always be a blues legend...Although the founders of this amazing music, are long since deceased.R.I.P to all great blues men

  • Just now I have started to read Robert Gordon's book (2002)about Muddy. It's published this year in Hungarian too, I like it very much!!!! All day I lisen to Muddy's CDs during my reading..... fantastic expeiences!!!!!! He is so good.....!!!!!!!

  • the mosh pit at this show must have been off the hook!!

  • hey spring 41686 .Leave Jimmy Page out of it he s a blues man .Pick on some fret wanker like Steve Vai or Satchriani

  • buddy is the man so laid back

  • pussy

  • perrfect! i love this things. the only thing i can say is just i wanted to listen the other guitar guy solo.

  • its so cool how by this point, buddy guy and junior wells split from him but when Muddy Waters took the stage, he was THE BOSS

  • me and chris leblanc opened for buddy guy in mobile and in baton rouge this last week and yes he plays some fast numbers but he layed down some slow blues that put chills on all of me,and his entertaining quality was 2nd to none, when he played with muddy waters, of coarse he had to play slow, that was muddys great talent was to deliver slow blues, but remember blues as all music evolves a little as time goes, its all good

  • wow music at its best

  • It's rare to see Buddy or Junior Wells play so smooth and cool. Usually Junior is trying to run the show and completely tanked on Gin. Guess not in the presence of Muddy!

  • It upsets me that Buddy doesnt play the blues the way he knows to play it at his shows these days. He wants to please everyone and knows that the majority of the people just want to hear how fast he can attack that guitar (which is blindingly fast). But I want to hear some fucking blues thats why I'm Buddy Guy fan and not a Jimmy Page fan!

  • I agree!! It is sad. If you listen to his old stuff it often realy is slower but it has a much more bluesy feel to it.

  • ill post u a buddy album 2001 and u will eat yer words..

  • Panda which Buddy are you referring to?

  • thx god ..

  • Buddy Guy is sick on this

  • Muddy had been in a car accident shortly before this show. The hotel that the artists were staying in was over an hour away from the venue. The driver that picked up Buddy, Muddy and Junior was a maniac. Muddy kept yelling from the back seat for the guy to slow down but he never even turned around. Buddy said Muddy was absolutely hilarious yelling at this guy. I got that story right from Buddy, so I know it's true. peace

  • awesome

  • Damn, that's some looooow down blues bro!

  • Why did the Gov'ner of New York....

  • Why did the Gov'ner of New York....

  • This is from the 1974 Montreux Jazz Festival.

    The lineup...

    Muddy Waters: vocal

    Buddy Guy: guitar

    Junior Wells: harmonica

    Terry Taylor: slide guitar

    Pinetop Perkins: piano

    Bill Wyman: bass

    Dallas Taylor: drums

  • Dallas Taylor... I wondered whatever happened to him after CSN&Y...

  • The guitarist (i believe) was Mick Taylor, also of the Rolling Stones. Helluva slide player.

  • I see Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones playing bass. Who were some of the other musicians accompanying Mudddy at this early '70s Montreux Jazz Festival?

  • very nice!

  • My favorite band of all-time!

  • Put1 Costauds les types.....ça c pas la star ac...SAVOUREZ

  • F cross harp carefull pick your notes can't play too much just have really good tone and play inside the blues scale very subtle

  • Just fantastic blues groove! Thanks for it!

  • Fantastic, so cool, what a line-up!

  • Muddy played at the corral at my highschool in 1978, amazing bluesman, I started playing guitar about then, amazingly enough, I prefer Stevie Ray Vaughn on blues guitar.

  • Very good voice, I used to see him live when I was young in Chicago and Indiana.

  • youtube at its best.. this is why we love it, no? thanks for posting this.

    genios................

  • great feel

  • Buddy is my idol, but I love how he misses the que by muddy and junior picks it up for him. True musicians, can't see this act anymore

  • very beatefull

  • If you go back and read it more carefully, I am calling somebody else a Dumb Fuck. I LOVE Muddy Waters,....I cant beieve you thought,........I am sorry, That was not my intention, .......We good? 13

  • Love these guys!! Miss Muddy like crazy! What a contribution he made to music. Feeling much disdain for any who are so pitiful as to feel a need to belittle these fine musicians. All I can say is what is the truth..music critics are people who WISH they could be a musician or tried and have utterly failed. If that shoe fits you must wear it.

  • What year is this??

  • Dumb Fucks.

  • A M"U"NKEY?

  • MUDDY MUTHA FUNKERS!

  • 3 of greats that the blues man that fucked blues.ynwa

  • Muddy's drug???? Audience & champagne ( Jr & Buddy get you higher than cocaine). btw the slide guitar sucks & Bill Wyman is just good.
