it is extremely sad to say today bob davis has left us and gone to the next world, bob will be missed by all of us not just geelong supporters, world of sport was my favourite sports show in the 80's there's not much like it these days sad to say
Miss AFL Park? It was the only rain gauge in the world with seating for 70,000 people! But yes, it did give you a good perspective of the game, especially if you were in the closer seats.

Hilarious -- I forgot Sam Newman ever looked like that. And what about that car, what a sh-tbox.
johann99 4 years ago 2
you only think they're s-boxes because you see them clattering around now... but 23 years is a pretty long life for those cars!

Was at the Windy Hill game, a good 'un.

Spectacular marks in both matches - Richmond vs. Hawthorn at VFL Park (which I miss), and Essendon vs. Fitzroy at Windy Hill (which I miss more so).
Still, with 'Louie the Lip' as one of the judges, you couldn't get a better decision.

Yes, there was good perspective at VFL Park, as it was designed especially for the footy.
From what I've learned, the record attendance was 90,935, for Collingwood vs. Hawthorn on Queen's Birthday 1981.
