I cannot set my debian OS file as the file to boot from because it's not the correct format, but i downloaded it from the Orical VirtualBox website. How do I get around this? Where can I download debian, of which is the correct format?
thank you sir! Firstly I installed the debian without "graphical installation" and i was wondering why the debian does not let me to login after mounting the drive :D . Again, many thanks and respect
Debian 5 stable uses such old grub. if you select the squeeze repos, it installs the newer one and upgrades all you need. Squeeze is better option for desktop usage, so

I noticed that the Grub menu said version 0.97. Does Debian really use such and old Grub?
