@dale0038 It lubricated all the chassis points. It was an option on 56' Mercs. My 56' Merc wagon didn't have it, but it would have been cool if it did! :)
@themamagoatshow it's a compilation of commercials prepared for the automotive theme park, Autorama, that was built in Flint, MI. Sadly -- like most of Flint, it's now closed.
@fjgh666 It's a 1959 Dodge D-500 Custom Royal Lancer. How's that for a mouthful,name-wise?!
This truly was a time when cars had STYLE,love it or hate it,you didn't mistake one car make for another or wonder what year it was. Not as reliable,durable,safe or comfortable as modern cars,...but they did have that style!
Now this is just my opinion! but I think that after the 1950's the cars lost all the flare and style.. they chopped the fins and got rid of alot of the chrome.
Thats well done, the cars of the 50's had no safety or handling qualities at all, not until the hq holden in Australia where seat belts and neck rests were standard on a non luxury vehicle.
Dianah Shore sells the '53 Chevrolets!

Nicely done. I have a VCR tape which has most of these commercials but I've enjoyed how you put them all together. Great editing! Thanks for sharing!
