Annette was every male teenager's dream from 1955 to mid-sixties. I had her pictures all over my room, I wrote little stories with "Annette", she was the perrenial "purest" teenage love. Even her beach movies were filled with a lot of respect between her and Frankie. The world was simpler, safer and more innocent then ... right before Vietnam escalation... A pitty that there isn't a teenage idol like Annete Funicello now todays idols look like skanks now the teenage idols are Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears very boring.
This is one of my favorite Annette songs. Love the teenage Annette pics with short hair. She looks so much like Lara Jill Miller did on Gimme A Break! in it's early seasons. The pics of her in the pink dress and the white polka dotted ones are two of the best pics in this picture show.

Walt Disney had no idea how much potential Annette had, the studio physically 'confined' her looks so as not to damage her Disney image.
After leaving Disney, the rest IS history!.
In person, in movies, in everything, Annette Funicello is unique.
A Lady, (always), a fine artist and performer, simply put, (with the highest admiration, and 'thank you), you are 'class', with a capitol 'C'.
