The new upper design makes the fit much better for me, as it's less stiff and less narrow feeling. The 2.3 was great, and the 4.3 is much closer to that than the 3.3, in my opinion.
@tenniswarehouse I have the 2.3 and the 3.3 and I actually think that de 3.3 is more like the agressive shoe, like if I could run faster with him. The 2.3 is a lot more comfortable and offers great stability.
@tenniswarehouse which of the three shoes, the vapor 8, barricade 6, or the courtballistec 3.3 would last the longest on grass courts? and is the courtballistec wider than the barricade?
They will all last a very long time on a grass court. Durability is not an issue, so I would go with the lighter and faster one, the Vapor 8. It also offers the widest fit and the uppers are very supple, requiring virtually no break in.
I am thinking of buying a new pair of shoes for this season. Nike Court Ballistec 3.3 or adidas barricade 6. could you please give me a straight up answer on which is better. im looking for a duriable, comfortable and good looking shoe. thanks
If you want durability, stability and support, both the Air Court Ballistec 3.3 and Barricade 6 offer it in spades. If you want something lighter and faster feeling, the Vapor 8 or adiZero Feather is the way to go.
Well ok Look I just bought these court ballistec's and 1 of my friend has them too so we found a difference between them - THE Tongue was different i mean his was like plastic and mine was meshed or something i dk but could 1 of these be fake or nike has variety of tongues for this shoe ?
SOrry to hear you are having issues breaking them in. You can try two pairs of socks which should absorb most of the rubbing until they are fully broken in.
You're really comparing apples and oranges here. If you're looking for long lasting durability, then the Vapor 8 isn't going to cut it. If you're looking for glove like comfort with a fast feel, then the 3.3 won't do. Personally, I prefer the Vapor 8 based on comfort and performance, though the 3.3 (after break in) is a great shoe for durability, support and stability.
@tenniswarehouse I have just finished wearing though my Barricade 6's after a month and a half, would you say the 3.3 is almost equal stability and durability wise? I'm hoping it's lighter as well...
@ETRaPiiDz Both shoes will require a break-in period before the shoe gets comfortable. The 3.3 is just a bit wider in the forefoot than the Barricade 6.
I am 6'1 about 245, looking for a shoe that is going to fit snug, offer good durability and a lot of stability, stability is my main concern, any suggestions ?
I would recommend the Vapor 8. It is softer and more comfortable while still offering great support. The Air Courballistec 3.3 is a much stiffer shoe with more durability and stability in mind.
@tenniswarehouse I am 6'1 about 245, looking for a shoe that is going to fit snug, offer good durability and a lot of stability, stability is my main concern, any suggestions ?
honestly i didnt find the traction to be that great!? i am a high level 13 year old who trains for four hours a day and i have worn through the shoe in a little over a month. whats wierd is these are the only shoes that i was ever able to slide in.
No. I think the adi outsole is more in line with what you are seeking. You can also get it in a full herringbone, clay specific outsole in Europe. Check the TWE website.
The 3.3 is much stiffer through the chassis so it offers a more rigid and stable ride. I prefer the comfort of the 2.3 and even though it is more flexible, it offered more than ample stability for me.
How about we just skip the 3.3 and keep selling/buying the 2.3? Love the 2.3. Haven't tried the 3.3 myself though. But first impression; the 2.3 is definitely much better looking, even the 1.3 beats the 3.3 in that regard, no?
@SnoboSnow Yeah, I should probably give the 3.3 a chance, just the 2.3 fit me so perfectly and I love the feel and everything. Plus I really like the cosmetics ^^
Where's the review for the 4.3?

A few of the players I've spoken with that had that same problem use two pairs of socks, and that seems to help.

Traction would be decent but not optimal. You would be better suited with a clay court shoe such as the Babolat V-Pro Clay.
