  • more then happy

  • Im happy with theirs hands off approach, but heres a point to ponder. What other medical treatment in this country requires you to reside in a particular State in order to receive that treatment? People travel to Johns Hopkins, or Mayo with severe or unusual conditions and receive care for their conditions, but no one has to first become a resident of either State in order to be treated.

It is a very odd, a few enlightened States are strong enough to do what the Fed is not brave enough to.

  • if it was legal there would be alot of doped up people =/ but feds are annoying for getting kids in trouble like us just having fun with bud and pills

  • How can marijuana still be a schedule 1 illegal drug because it has no medicinal use, while still being used legally for medicinal purposes?

  • Only good thing they've done so far.

(Only libertarian thing they've done so far.)

  • well obviously im all for this movement lol. i don't know about hallucinogens being legalized but i think that marijuana is well on it's way to being fully legal.

  • I'm not impressed with the continuous verbiage this administration spews. He preaches freedom and liberty but take a look at what is really going on. So far his actions contradict his talk. The ending of war, whether it is on this continent against his very own fellow citizens or abroad the globe, is not in their best interests. We must not relinquish the fight for real freedom and liberty to a passive trust for Obama, Congress, and the collective machine we call our government.

  • We must continue to be ever vigilant against the encroaching powers of the U.S. government and who/what they represent, the governing arm of the social elite.

  • Well said. There's much treason the patriots have to correct...

  • whatever

  • Mushies helped me with cluster head aches :]

  • I've been known to both criticize and to praise Obama, depending on what he says and does.

This is a case where I praise him. However, it is important to remember that Obama has not legalized marijuana, or even medical marijuana. He just told the DOJ that, since they don't have the resources to do everything, they should let this slide and spend their limited manpower, money, etc. on more important things.

  • This chic is a fucking idiot. Pull your head out of the drugs and back into reality. A stripper, that was a girlfriend of an illegal drug maker, is now trying to be an advocate of ilicit drugs. I am a marijuana user and I use other entheogens from time to time. To advocate the use of MDMA for medical purposes is reprehensible and iresponsible. Pull your head out fo the bong you stupid slut.

  • "Pull your head out of the drugs and back into reality."

"now trying to be an advocate of ilicit drugs."

"I am a marijuana user and I use other entheogens from time to time."

"Pull your head out fo the bong"

    Pot, meet Kettle.

MDMA was being used for medical purposes, and many psychiatrists say they would still be using it for, among other things, post traumatic stress disorder, if the DEA hadn't been so freaked out over people dancing with glowsticks that they made it illegal.

  • fuck the police, handle weed in the street.

  • Obama continues to impress me with his follow-thru on his proposals and principles.

There's still hope for America, after all. Sanity is still alive.

  • Fuck yeah obama! I guess hes not actually useless!

BTW your backgrounds trip me the fuck out.. every time. love it!

  • lsd or mdma being legalized for medical purposes would be a real long shot

    boy would it be great

but i doubt itd happen any time soon

im just waiting until the government realizes how less dangerous weed is than alchohol and they legalize it for recreational use

thatll probably be the next step in foiling of the failed war on drugs

  • do you know how much money is in the medical industry? it's no coincidence that all the drugs that actually work are illegal. lsd and mdma - both wonderful therapeutic drugs - will never be legal. keeping everyone sick is big business

  • amen brother

  • That's good to hear. Now they just need to legalize it. Whoever said pot was destructive to society is an idiot.

  • Since when is marijuana a hallucinogen? I was smoking it for 17 years and didn't have a single one hallucination.

  • it is. marijuana can cause mild hallucinations. it can. im not saying you trip, but you can hallucinate, such as distorted sound and distance perception ect ect....

  • yeah, in the same way 20 cups of coffee can cause hallucinations. Maybe it's just me, but I have never hallucinated on cannabis and I have smoked a LOT.

  • hmmm well i dunno. have you tried the strain called lsd? it produces a more trippy effect then with any other strain, im not talking about hallucinations, im talking about trippy, there is a difference

  • That's very true, I think most people would need to eat substantial amounts of hashish to hallucinate on THC.

  • Technically cannabis is classified as an hallucinogen. I agree that it is not very psychedelic, but it is classified that way.

  • The classifying of cannabis as a hallucinogen is an obvious scare tactic to keep it illegal. Not once have I smoked weed and had a vivid hallucination of any kind. It just doesn't happen.

  • Cite sources.

  • hey would you know any reason why 25 hawaiian baby woodrose seeds did not have any effects on me?

  • It's psychedelic when you're first starting out and your tolerance is low, especially with the really potent stuff.. Then after smoking it for so long the psychedelic aspects start to wear out.

  • @NeuroSoup ok but you can't let people think it will lead on to other drugs if anyone thinks this you are worng , it's that can of beer that's in the refrigerator that was your fathers and you stold it ,That's what sets it off not pot ,blame it on alcohol and not cannabis !

  • @NeuroSoup I always view the hallucinations to be taking place on your thinking not your visional perception.

  • it's classified as one, and hallucinations and visuals are two totally different things. It's not extremely rare to have some kind of auditory or olfactory hallucinations etc. It's doesn't happen all the time, but it happens.

  • Legalize nature...

  • Big-ish step forward, but yeah this is pretty awesome. I just moved to California and I knoe that something like this can really ease the tension of a fellow grower.

  • not happy with obama but happy that hes trying to legalize mary j

  • i thouhgt you said "say no to drugs and legal entheogens" so why the hell do you give a shit about them legalizing marijuana

  • If marijuana were legalized, it would become, by definition, a legal entheogen.

Technically, though, Obama has not legalized marijuana, or even medical marijuana. He just told the DOJ that, since they don't have the resources to do everything, they should let this slide and spend their limited manpower, money, etc. on more important things.

  • As long as the government don't grow it for us!

I can imagine companies like Monsanto would love to grow and distribute Marijuana medicinally, and charge a lot of money for it too, not to mention that it would probably be tainted or of really low quality.

  • omg dude your so right Monsanto is a piece of shit patenting everything they can lay their hands on, i hope its legal, but not grown by the government, just government standards to reduce harmful lacing that people might be doing.

  • always seem high lol

  • umm what medical uses can lsd mdma ect. be use for?

  • Lsd has been used medically in psychotherapy as a tool for patients to dig deep into their own minds, recall traumatic events/roots of their problems, and then work on reconstructing the way they see these particular events - all under the guidance of a psychotherapist. I think hallucinogens have powerful medical uses, only stopped by the lack of funding for scientific research.

  • LSD can be used to cure chronic Migraine headaches and if you have had one you know they hurt like a bitch.

    MDMA i don't know

And Mushrooms can be used to cure cluster headaches which are more painful then migraines so i have heard and I'm not talking Tylenol relief it make it go away for a time but it CURES them.

  • I'd like to see some evidence about those drugs "curing" headaches...

I think the best purpose for hallucinogens (apart from marijuana) being used for medical purposes would be an alternative form of therapy, breaking through psychological bounds in order to cure the mind which is the first step in curing anything going on with the body. I don't think I'd agree that they should be legalized for recreational use, but for medical use in a specific setting, I feel, could be beneficial!

  • they are legal. there are many many legal hallucinogens out there. allotttt. if someone makes the choice as a grown adult to ingest drugs to go on a trip, by god, they should have every right to do so. its their choice

  • FREE MARC EMERY !!!

  • Uh last I checked cannabis isn't a hallucinogen.... I've never seen anything on weed

  • well my friend it is because your not doing it right. i doesn't work for occasional smokers. they just smoke to much. there has to be a long period of not smoking like minimum of 2wks and then smoke hashish or dro in LARGE amounts on your finest bong or pipe and Experience it for yourself and by yourself in a quiet room or alone outside night or day

  • some consider it a "mild" hallucinogen. hallucinations come in more forms than sight. in fact most hallucinogens don't produce dramatic visual hallucinations for me unless taken in large doses.

  • yeah well check again, its a mild psychedellic*

  • its a long battle that will continue to be fought, arrogance vs. intelligence

  • It's great that the current administration is doing this in states where medical cannibus is already protected by law, but I live in the Midwest, Kansas City, Missouri to be specific, and we're about as far from legalizing as you can get around here! I just recently lost a beautiful female plant to neighborhood theives; it would've been nice if I could've reported this crime to the KCPD and actually had an active investigation opened on my behalf, seeing how I put several months of work into it!

  • money money money follow the trail to lift the vale

  • @cjs ive met people who have lost there minds due to drug use (MDMA) it cirtainly has a psycological effect on the mind.

  • use & abuse differ.

  • I think it's not about the impact on body, it's almost non-toxic(LSD, MDMA) as I know, and the medical use is much greater than the possible risk. Honestly I never did LSD or MDMA, but read a lot of literature about it:P It's about rational use and concequences to society. I don't live and USA and I don't care much, but this is good news anyway)))

  • The drug war is a lost war, simple. I say make it no longer illegal, just let people do what they will and let individuals make their own choices. Once someone tries to force it on someone or violates someones rights, then the government should get involved and there should be big consequenses for it. But you will not stop people from using it if they really want to. You need to live and let live and only get involved when there is a problem.

  • LOL ARE YOU SERIOUS legalising mdma and lsd? what next CRACK? look, weed is a brilliant drug for both medical and recreational use, thats why it should be legal, MDMA doesnt have anything medicaly positive about it? lsd can give people bad trips seriously think your fucking ideas through before you make videos, i mean just because you LOVE MDMA as you said in one of your videos doesnt mean it should be legal?

  • MDMA administered in controlled conditions by psychologists has been shown to be extremely effective in treating post-traumatic stress disorder in rape victims and other forms of anxiety that don't respond to other types of treatment.

  • That's right. I'm afraid wezley112's post fall under the category of Did Not Do The Research.

  • Until MJ use is legalized period, I wont be happy. It shouldn't matter if you're using it for illness or recreation.

  • i doubt they are going to be completely stopping...

  • XD ;-P XD

  • The way I see it... things that are far more damaging and adictive (alcohol) are legal, used on a regular basis, and still regulated to the point the public is safe. Why is Marijuana illegal? Because the people in power are either A) so old as to still believe pot to be the evil it was advertised to be in Reefer Madness, or B) too chicken to stick their necks out to support it.

It's nice to know our president is actually a sensible person who understands there's nothing to fear from pot.

  • It's about time. We have a long way to go still, but this is a step in a positive direction. Be well.~~Nikolai

  • I think its the first step before legalisation. Good sign.

  • Sry, cannabis is not a hallucinogen

  • Experientially, I find it most definitely can be.

  • it absolutely is.

  • It's most often classified as a depressant or a stimulant. I can't see how you'd equate the hallucinogenic effects of LSD or shrooms to the subtle effects of cannabis.

  • Excelent! but still slow developement... must legalize worldwide...

  • decriminalize would be better i think, weed should just be a home herb, not a commercial drug like alcohol :)

  • Sometimes in my hometown (Caracas-Venezuela) it becomes so difficult to find good quality, that if it weren't for the weed in my balcony I'd go nuts... Homegrown is the best way to do this! Decriminalize now! stop prosecution now! PEACE! for all that is good and evil... PEACE ONCE AND FOR ALL!

  • Marijuana needs to be available to everyone.

  • Very happy :)

  • It is a start. Acid and shrooms may be legal 100 years from now. Only if the side of freedom and light win.

Let us say Obama gets this passed. Can I grow Canabis Indica on my mountain land in PA and not risk having my land confiscated? Until the land confiscation law was passed I grew for my head and grew great weed.

  • that would be a big step from marijuana to lsd or mdma... u could only wish

  • Obama is good, he's the first person to have enough guts to say that the government has caused problems, and he's fixing them.

Soon enough marijuana will be legal nationwide, which will follow on to the UN and eventually to other countries such as Australia.

I do not predict this will happen rapidly, but over the next 10-20 years, perhaps.

Psychedelics that cannot cause death or addiction should not be illegal; especially that alcohol and cigarettes are legal.

  • I don't want to sound like a drug hater, but what are the medical uses of MDMA and LSD hahaha, I know they are sick drugs but they are deffenetly not helpful as Cannabis when it comes to medical problems.

  • MDMA was used in therapy and LSD was used as a successful treatment for alcoholism. I think LSD could be used to treat other addictions, but since it's so difficult to do research, it will most likely be a VERY long time before we find out if it's useful and effective. It's certainly safer by leaps and bounds than other alcoholism drug treatments.

  • lsd has never been used as a treatment fir alcoholism - show ur evidence

  • Those seem more like therapeutic drugs and not as much medical such as weed. By not as much medical I mean they don't help with problems such as cancer. When I have a headache and I smoke a Joint it helps. LSD and MDMA just make me trip

  • yes thc is a proven painkiller and helps with other ailments, but ive never heard of lsd being used for any medical problem - one only has to look at the us army trials in the late 50s-60s

  • "ur" Just going to have to google the words "lsd" " "alcoholism" and "treatment" sometime instead.

(besides, every time I put a link in a yourtube comment, the comment never shows)

I believe there were studies in the US and Canada, but I can only be sure about Canada. Looks like those studies were recently "unearthed", but I've read reference to the Canadian studies from several sources.

  • Ok, got a little time to look it up. The treatment was found to be effective in studies conducted in the 50s and 60s at Saskatchewan, Canada. A followup study found differing results. But the funny (or not so funny) thing about it was.. patients in the study given LSD to treat their alcoholism were BLINDFOLDED and TIED UP, which led many to believe the followup study lacked in fundamental ways and their results can be discarded. Can you imagine being tied up on LSD, let alone blindfolded? eek

  • i remember reading about that a loooong time ago. there were tests done without the patients being tied up. i think possibilly in the u.s but i dont honestly remember.

i cant even stay in 1 room-and usually end up walking miles-on LSD... being tied up would be unimaginally horrible!

  • MDMA and LSD can be used in psychiatry and psychology. They aren't particularly useful for physical medical problems such as cancer.

  • The more we understand the brain, the less mystical and nebulous it will seem. And problems in the brain will someday have more focused, less scatter-shot and "shot in the dark" medical solutions. But they are now, and will always be VERY physical problems.

  • You thumbed me down because you believe that cancer, viruses, thyroid problems, etc can be treated with a microscopic dose of a psychedelic?

If not, you need to rethink what I said. I didn't say there were no chemical imbalances and such, in saying "physical" I was referring to more anatomical, bacterial or viral issues.

  • No sir or madame. Absolutely not. I do not vote people down unless they are rude. And if what I said was offensive in some way, I apologize. I didn't mean to come across as a jerk. I just meant to emphasize that mental problems are also physical problems, yet are treated as separate from the physical body, which they are not. The brain is part of the body but the drug treatments we have to treat disorders are typically blunt and "scorched earth" type approaches or mechanisms are not known.

  • LSD has shown potential in curing (not just treating) cluster headaches.

MDMA was used by a lot of psychiatrists before the DEA got so frustrated over kids with glowsticks that they took it away from EVERYBODY, including doctors.

  • yaaaaaay

  • woah thanks for breaking this info to us!

You rock. Also, I wanted to comment about your background choice - I think the overtly psychadelic hippie fractal blob might deter alot of people from viewing your videos or cause them to take you less seriously. perhaps images of the forest, mountain or other natural settings would be more true to your personality and messages? just my two cents =)

  • I love your video's !! keep it up , peace

  • Any progress is a good thing in my opinion. Medicinal use of cannabis has real benefits for those it is perscribed to.

Maybe this will be the beginning of the decriminalization of the plant that could do SO much to better this country and the world.

  • i think its great we finely have a good pres in office if we ilected another republican this year the whole country woulda been screwed lol but i know marijuana has infinite medical uses but what medicinal purposes can lsd serve? just curious.

  • When is Obama going to pardon Marc Emery?

  • Can people from other states go to Cali to get prescribed marijuana by doctors there?

  • I doubt the Obama admins will keep their word and it doesnt realy make a difference to me consiering its still illegal most places you go and use for non seriously ill people is still illegal .

  • This means nothing. They hardly ever prosecuted people who were growing (state) legal amounts. They will continue to bust larger grow operations and traffickers in states where marijuana is legal. If anything I would say this is a small step in the right direction or a symbolic gesture by the Obama administration. I'll be happy once weed costs the same as cigarettes.

  • Why do they need to prosecute people for using marijuana when they can just tax marijuana?

  • because the people at the top want the Pharmacies to stay in buisness. Marijuana would destroy that buisness and then almost instantly be on top. thats waht they are afraid of. the way Pharmacies work and make their money is by keeping you sick. they have drugs that help you get over the side effects of the drug you'd taken before. thats insanity in my opinion. Check out "Generation Rx" it goes into much more detail.

I believe the trailer can be seen on youtube

  • Do people actually think that the government is DUMB and that they really think marijuana is a dangerous drug and that we need to educate them so they know of all of cannabises benefits?

NONE of the reasons marijuanas illegal are medical reasons....they are ALL financial

tobacco companies, alcohol companies, drugs companies all are against legalization of marijuana..not to mention all the companies that are against HEMP in general because it world hurt their buisnesses .

  • the reason it was made illegal was because some dude know it would threaten his lumber industry

  • true, also people say why doesnt government just sell them like cigs, but man I wouldn't wanna smoke whatever they package as "weed", they would end up putting some chemicals in it just like tobacco so we get physically addicted. fuck that idea.

  • Awesome stuff for you Americans. I hope for you guys that it becomes fully legalized soon enough.

  • Obama rules. This would have never happened if McCain were elected.

  • That's cool. Hope it eventually becomes legalized in New Zealand too! I mean it's pretty easy to get here and the cops aren't that big on cracking down on it, but if it were legal, it'd be more acceptable, more convenient to use and purchase, and cheaper to buy.

  • whoooaaa half way their whoooaaa livin on a prayer...

  • w00t

  • This is fandamtastic.

  • I want to see a store on my corner. Anything less is a crime.

  • Marijuana should not be legalized, but i am for a more sensible marijuana policy

  • yeahhhhhh obama rulez!

  • I agree that this is a baby step, however you can't only legalize marijuana you have to legalize all drugs otherwise cocaine, herion, etc.... will only be in a higher demand in the black market. So all drugs need to be legalized in order for all drug trafficking crimes to come to an end. This would also be great because then we will create a serious dent in the black market and illegal corperations that fund human trafficking, gun smuggling, etc....

  • Legalize it for everyone and tax it. Everyone should be able to use marijauna. This is a baby step in the right direction.

  • One step closer!!!

  • Awesome! I'm glad Obama lifted the insane policy.

  • Right on !

  • Legalize marijuana, psilocybin, LSD, and MDMA :D

  • I think marijuana should be legal PERIOD. But I bet that's all of us.

  • lol, never legalize lsd!

  • eventhough the government classifies marijuanna as a hallucinogen its actually a eurphoric depressant

  • I'm very happy with this decision. But they should just legalize it all the way because everyone should be allowed to smoke it not just users that need it for medical reasons.

  • MDMA!!! =D

  • Yeah it's a step in the right direction but its still illegal here in Kansas.

At least there is a readily available synthetic cannabinoid thats semi-legal now.

  • Im happy. Thats just one step closer to completely legalizing. I mean alcohol IS a killer. You can hear about deaths linked to alcohol. But i have never heard of a single death linked to marijuana (and for that point, Salvia either.)

  • At least its a steo in the right direction, this plant is bigger than government and should not be taxed.

Dont Ignore the Hemp Issue Nobel Weed Tokers

  • This is great news!

BUT: cannabis should not be stuck in the "medical" area only!

You are allowed to have a beer, even if alcohol is the 5th most dangerous drug (The Lancet).

Why not sell cannabis under the same rules as alcohol?

  • Indeed. This would be the sensible way to handle things.

Legalize marijuana, tax it, and use the revenue to pay for health care.

And the money law enforcement would no longer be spending to fight a weed; surely that could be put to good use.

  • Pineapple Express v. Snicklefitz

  • very cool...

  • im happy. theyre taking a ste op forward. in Massachusetts we just had a hearing about legalizing and it went well! i think all drugs should be legal with warnings and people should be educated about the substances.

  • Statism is chaos. This was just one manifestation of the chaos. Interestingly the feds still have the right to prosecute, they just choose not to. Not really a solution in my books.

  • Comment removed

  • 1 small step towards decriminalization ? heres hoping .

  • obama is a fucking fraud! he screw us worse with the drug war, right now hes trying to make it look like hes for reform. things will get much worse, FUCK THAT FASCIST PIG!!!

  • lol. You obviously don't know what fascist means.

  • maybe you don't know what fascism means. fascism is generally defined as a merging of big corporations (also banks) and the state, where corporations take the dominant part. i would say that the USA has been fascist for quite a while now. and that's not the fault of president obama. but since the obama administration appears to be more interested in the well-being of big corporations and banks than the well-being of the people i think it is legitimate to call him a fascist leader.

  • Yup, welcome to the Facist States of America! Where our Nobel "peace" prize winning president just keeps on sending more soldiers to Afghanistan...

  • hes a puppet just like evry other president

  • note that i'm not saying that barack obama is a bad person. like i said it's the corporations that are in control and make the legislature.

  • wow the obama administration "announced" it.

then it's practically a done deal, because if politicians say something it must be true.

  • not announced, did.

  • It's great that they finally fixed that ridiculous law.

  • It's not fixed; this is only the beginning. Why settle for "no prosecution" when this plant has been used since before civilization? The only way for it to be fixed is for full legalization.

  • When I said fixed, I was referring to the amending of the process which allowed federal agents to prosecute people in states that had legalized the use of medical marijuana. That's all.

  • Yay for you, i live in Australia where while weed is ilegal, you allowed to grow 2.45 plants for personal use if you live in the capital city (which is boring as fuck btw)

  • haha Canbera i used to live there and ya its pretty boring.

  • Every milestone like this is America moving one step closer to where it needs to be.

  • I'm actually a part of the Students for a Sensible Drug Policy at LSU, so I think this is great news! :)

  • poeple have still gotton radied under his administration hes just loosened up on it the only way the dea will stop going after medical marijuana would be to make marijuana or medical marijuana legal federaly

  • yeah i heard about this.

  • this is ur best vid yet in my opinon very good topic today

  • i realy happy !!!

  • i think its definitely a step in the right direction....but there are many more to go....

  • I am forunate enough to live in Amsterdam, for Americans and people elsewhere i can only hope it get's legalised for those who still insist it's bad just compare the number of dutch citizens dying to harddrugs with your numbers. And that's the other drugs to my knowledge no1 died to mariuijna

  • That's great about it! I just wish they'd legalize it medically for all states.

  • It's an excellent step forward. One tiny little thing, though: Marijuana is not a hallucinogen and only a "psychedelic" in the most ancient meaning of the word: "mind manifesting." Using improper terminology helps throw fuel on the fire for the prohibitionist pigs.

  • I'm HAPPY! Now bring it to the UK

  • you people are crazy, they're not doing it cause they appreciate their medical use, theyre doing it because it saves a ton of money to just let them do it. It isnt good, its just not as bad.

  • I don't give a shit why they are doing it. I am a free human being, I should have the right to decide what I want to put into my own body. These control freaks are the crazy ones.

  • Agreed!

  • The government isn't afraid to spend a ton of money. They are doing this because Obama, at least, realizes that there are better ways to spend the money than busting cancer patients.

  • yes this is good

  • Finally something is being done! :)

  • im very happy...

now i can't get in trouble for healing my self!!!

    :D

  • No longer prosecute individuals whose state decriminalizes the use of medical marijuana or are all states acting under medical marijuana as legal?

  • They aren't going after people who use marijuana for medical purposes *in compliance with state law.*

So if you use it for medical reasons in a state where that is against the law, the feds will still come after you.

  • This is awesome news one step closer!

  • Wonderful news!

  • Well it's about time this change came. It's a good first step, but having any laws against marijuana is extremely irrational and illogical. Obama has said he does not want to end marijuana prohibition, so his administration is not so as great in this area as what maybe thought....on the other hand I'm glad he is at least sane enough to end medical marijuana raids.

  • This is the first and last thing the obama administration has done correct. The US is in more debt since the Obama administration began. If I lived in the US i'd get out of the dollar fast, gold keeps rising, its a safe haven, invest now.

  • I'm happy... I just wish they would completely legalize it.
