I´m using Nova repeater with bass, and i have to say it´s absolutely awesome! It does not reduce the lower frequency spectrum and works great with other effect units, too. I´d recommend it to anyone looking for a good delay pedal.
@InspiredProphecy Nova Repeater draws 300 mA an needs 9-12 Vdc to run (we suggest that you use the supplied PSU). The voodolab pp2+ can only source 250 mA at output 5 or 6 at 9 Vdc, you can try it but we won't reccomend it.
@Xevamir It'll probably stop working, it's not like an old school wah that might benefit from a lower voltage than recommended. - Or at least, I don't think so.. - do bare in mind that you might be violating warranty terms :)
Nova Drive is the most expensive overdrive pedal i´ve ever seen. Here in Denmark it costs 1.995 DKK / $376,37. but it is also the most powerful overdrive pedal i´ve ever seen! i buying it once i can afford it :D so my bass can sound even more evil. maybe also the repeater with it
In Denmark you have 25% VAT and generally higher retail prices. The price in the States is cheaper - ... around 250$. But think about it - you get two pedals in one and with some interesting possiblities you don't get with two single pedals. Two pedals of the same quality would easily cost the same.
For bass the possiblity to blend in the "dry"-signal with overdrive is really useful. Setting the NDR to parallel routing, you can mix in "dry"-signal with the distortion part of the pedal. Nice :-)
yeah thats true but generaly it shoould be cheaper in denmark than the states since TC.E. is a danish brand. but yeah even though its pretty expensive its still the most powerful pedal i´ve seen. you dont get the same possibilities with any other overdrive pedal on the market. only the repeater got a few competetors
T.C. PLEEEEZE MAKE A MULTI FX UNIT FOR BASS! Your software and hardware is soo much better than the rest... I'm loooonging for it!!!

@tcelectronic What happens when you run it under the recommended power?

@tcelectronic Alrighty. Thank you! I was trying it on the 5-6 input of the Voodoo Labs. But I'll bring the power supply with me.

Will the voodoo lab pp2+ power the Nova Repeater or not?

Why don't you TC guys make a Nova System for bass?
It is only a matter of software how hard can it be ;-)

I see some Nova Drive on ebay for 140 Euro, or 170 Euro new. It's a good option.

Love the nova drive pedal...but hey I'd take them both!!
eskimomoo 2 years ago
they both sound awesome. it's common for bass players to use 'guitar' pedals. finally, some love for bassists.
