awesome hack! loves it! how deep is the water where people come out of the slide? looks too shallow to me - like maybe you could've extended the pipe out to a lot deeper water? wish I could build something like this :)
I love it, I have been trying to find the price on the net for a while now and just cant find it.. I want to do the same for my pool, why spend $5k on a slide when you can do this for under $1K.. Great job!!! I will post when i get mine done :)
@agent2520 it is a 12V,$99 pump from the local hardware store - in Canada these things are everywhere under different brand names, but I think most are made by the same company. The problem is, the pump is quite loud, this is why we have the barrels - so we don't have to run the pump while swimming. I am looking into much smaller pump(s) that will fill the barrels slowly and silently - with a float valve to shut off when full - e.g., 12v pumps for caravan/motorhomes.
How long is that pipe? is it one piece? how much did it cost?

Cool video. Pour a bucket of melted wax candles down the tube will take away the ripples. make sure the pipe is warm as the wax will set to fast.

32" smooth walled PVC culvert pipe - I think this is generally used for storm water.
I just did some internet searches and found a local supplier. Good luck.
