Yea you are right, Stop Motion! Nah just set the camera to continuous shooting, and then importa all those pics into AE and then just slowdown with pixelblending setting. Images are so high res that if then is nto huge variance between images it creates perfect blending.

So essentially stop motion. An interesting way of getting 4K. Did you use AE Pixel Motion or something else (or just very smooth camera movement)?
