Nice video, just one problem. The main lens is made out two lenses and the thin lens should be the one faceing out from the telescope not the thick lens as is shown at 3:40 in this video.

Best video on youtube so far, BUT it shows you how to add everything together then it says THIS + THIS + THIS + THIS = THIS at the end for the x50. But it doesnt show you specifically how everything is added together to actually give you the x50 :( - Greatest full moon i've ever seen out tonight too and i'm going to miss the greatest of its splendor. Thanks for the help though.
Ok - now I feel bad. I'll put up the Barlow video tomorrow. Just in case we have astronomers out there who want to go 50X tonight - To make the barlow you will need both of your eyepieces and the barlow connector. This piece is a round cylinder that the two eyepieces fit into. Take the small ring from the end of the large eyepiece and the large end off the end of the small eyepiece. Put the eyepieces into the connector. Insert connector into telescope. Tadaa! 50X!
I wish I had seen this video when I put mine together!
A note on lenses: The directions recommend using tissue paper to handle them, which I was able to do until they were in pairs. Once in pairs, I could only get them into the eyepieces by bare hand.
I think the Galilean eyepiece produces 18X magnification.
Construction of the 50X eyepiece might be helpful also. I believe you need to remove parts from both original eyepieces before inserting them into the Barlow tube.
Thanks for the comment rgoo57. Tissue paper is a good idea, even to just put down to use as a surface to lay your lenses on. I will put up a Barlow video in the next week.

You got the Objective lens the wrong way round. Your scope wouldn't work too well. A rather fundamental error I would say!
