My blade pro2 is giving me the same kinda problem right now. Wait for about 30 seconds after the gyro light comes on and see if that fixes ya. It's working for me!
The tail rotor is brushless, so I wouldn't think it is bad. A day or two ago I moved the tail ESC in the back under the gyro and I haven't had the problem since (several Li-po packs worth of flying). It may have been interference or just too much heat from being up front. I'm crossing my finger hoping that it doesn't return.
Looks to me like a bade tail motor. They become very intermittent when they fail, and usually don't go out completely. The function can be in or out too. I would check that first. Try taking the Gyro out of the loop and see if the problem still exists. Good luck.

What motor/ESC combos are you using for main and tail?

it looks like your blades are moving when you engage the throttle, tighten the screw on both of the blades also
