  • thanks for your help

i would like to have 4 frames in one frame

    can you help me?

  • does final cut pro only work for macs? i have a dell :/

  • @FluffmyPillowBC only for Macintosh yes, but Sony Vegas is also the same ( look up the pirate bay to find a free version of sony vegas pro)

  • Man you are awesome. I really enjoyed watching the video because I am trying to improve my self with Final Cut Pro X and it gets so frustrating when I can't find certain answers. I wish i had a tutor like you. I learned a lot from your video more than going to an apple store workshop. Thanks again :)

  • omg, thank you so much for taking your time to explain this, this is why im taking the time to write this comment. You just explained everything i needed to know man, thanks again!

  • A simple and succinct intro to the FCP X interface and its most basic functions. Well paced and with clear speech/language. Just what I needed as a first time user to this editing program. I look forward to more-

    Thank you!

  • What the point of putting that clip like above the other clip at 4:10

  • hi i have a question i have a macbookpro 15.4 iinch 2.53 ghz dualcore 2 and is is still good enough to run finalcut pro x if not can the imac 27 inch core i7 3.4 ghz 16bm ddr3 ram can run it

  • Hey I'm doing a music video where the screen is constantly going up i.e. slide transition up... in final cut x. How do I accomplish this goal and do it in a way that the transitions isn't fast but a continuous slide.

  • My finalcut X shut down suddenly, is the proyect that was in my time line saved in any place?

  • keyframes?? dude why does it take so long to get to the point. dislike

  • Uh dude, the title says basic editing and then then key-framinig. The point was to show basic editing first then a little motion key-framing because to do them in the reverse order wouldn't really make sense.

  • Just what I needed - new to Apple editing - nice, clear, uncomplicated tutorial.

    Much appreciated, thanks.

  • Super, thanks

  • u dont need to transcode clips in FCPX...

  • @joesomebody1986

Yes, that is true but there are camera formats that do need to be either transcoded in FCPX or log and transferred in FCP 7 such as the canon 5d or 7d, panasonic p2, sony xdcam as well as the clips that were used in the tutorial. If the clips are already the right Quicktime format, they can just be imported into FCP 7 or FCPX. FCP 7 will connect to them from the browser, and FCPX will make an alias in the events folder. Both will reference the original media.

  • Very good, thanks. Can you show how I can edit a two person conversation cutting back and forth?

  • great video you actually know what your doing unlike most people i seen.

so how are u liking the program so far?

  • @ValourTV

Can't really say if I like it or not until I get to use it more and learn some of the new features better. I like what I see so far with the timeline, importing options and the over all look. What I really need is an easy "Restore Project" command as in previous versions, better arrangement of windows in multiple screen setups among a few other things that I'm used to. The lack of tape ingestion is a problem, but when you think about it, tape is pretty much dead anyway.

  • Thank you! Nicely presented. I learned some good information.

  • Finally somebody who looks like they know what they are doing.

  • Thanks for the video!!
