"Superman Returns" was the most disappointing story ever involving the Man of Steel. I think 3 and 4 in the original series were okay enough for when they were made and should have just been accepted. I refuse to think SR is the same universe as the movies with the late Christopher Reeve- I pretend it is its own thing treating viewers as if they already know who the characters are. I do look forward to the reboot- it better be the modern Superman movie I am waiting for.

come on now! ur not making any sense... how can it be a remake if its not remaking any scenes from the other movies? so now ur saying its a remake of the rest of the series? s3? err ok didnt he turn into a bad buy and fight a giant computer? not a remake of that one either then... ok 4? fought nuclearman... err nope... I think it is YOU who are misunderstanding the concept of remake
which is literaly to remake the same movie not make a sequel to an old movie.
its a NEW story.

You know what, now that I think of it you're right. It is a sequeal but, it's a remake of his world and look. But it is replacing the other two so in a way your right it's not a remake it is a replacement sequeal for three and four just made for modern viewers. So yes I'm kicking myself thank you. I enjoyed this conversation and I would like it if you comment some more. Friends?

yes. ok. they remade sets and costumes to keep in loose continuity with previous films and singer has stated than he likes to pretend 3 and 4 never happened, i like to think that too... reeve was the only good thing about them. i also like to pretend dick donners version of II is the only version. :)

superman returns was NOT a remake, it was a sequel ... superman was an origin story.

Dude, It was remake and a sequeal I did not say it was an origin story.That's what this reboot is for. "Reintroducing Superman." Sorry if I didn't make myself clear.

DUDE it was not a remake, superman was an origin story superman returns was not an origin story,... err did lois have a kid in superman ? no! did she have another boyfriend? no! did lex luthor steal the crystals and create another island? no! .... type " SEQUEL" , it continues after the events of superman II! ... just becuase it had the same music and unused footage of marlon brando doesnt make it a re-make.. duhh.
