  • Fuck the U$A.

  • @nanox4 Thanks for sharing.

  • Hiroshima a military base?

  • @Sarsburger Yes. It was the headquarters of the Japanese 2nd General Army under Field Marshal Hata. 43,000 j troops were in the city & close to 20,000 died in the bombing.

  • @Sarsburger of course there was a military base there. also you have to read between the lines. this is propaganda broadcast for public.

  • fuck truman

  • @edwardd6681 fuck you

  • Just curious.. who else watch this because of Euterpe?

  • @EruAquila hahaha me xD

  • Translate this speech in four words: JAPAN WE COMIN FO YO ASS

  • @Dwain9695 cough 6 cough

  • He sounds so tired.

  • President Truman translated to the year 2011:DON'T fuck with the USA or we gonna be bombing you till the end of times

  • War is a terrible thing :(

  • Dropping the nuke was like backhanding a woman who won't shut up. Instant compliance.

  • @MoobsAlwaysFumbles That is the first time I've heard that p[articular analogy. (Of course, it was 90 hours after Hiroshima that hirohito gave the surrender order- so it's not *exactly* correct- but pretty dang close :)

  • Truman dropped a wet one

  • Burn in hell Truman

  • Some claim that dropping the A-bomb shortened the war. Others claim and rightly so that the firebombing of Japan was far more destructive of lives and property. I suspect that Truman had two goals in mind. One was to finally convince the Japanese fascists that the US had a weapon which could destroy their entire nation with very few missions and bombs. Many of the Japanese people already knew that. Truman had to prove it, beyond any doubt to Japan and the rest of the world.

  • At the time, there really was no "decision" to be made. The US had this bomb that would help them win the war, they didn't give a damn about Japanese casualties, they were only concerned with American casualties, of course they were going to use this bomb and any other bomb they had. I've stood right beside the Enola Gay, it's hanging in the Udvar Hazy museum near D.C.

  • I don't claim Truman's use of the bomb was either right or wrong. I will say that I would not have traded palces with that man for all the wealth and slendor in the world. What a terrible decision to be faced with. It really pisses me off however that people haven't learned a god damned thing since then and we still have wars because some people just can't learn how to be real human beings and live in peace and instead act like depraved beasts towards their fellow man.

  • Bone chilling words.

  • He has been thoroughly blamed as a kook and criminal for using the two Atomic Bombs. I see Truman as a kindly fellow thrust into power and aware that everyday mothers the world over lost more and more sons.He had before him a way to show the Japanese they could not continue. He did use it, they did see, they surrendered very quickly. He saved untold millions who never told him thanks. Thankyou Mr. President!...Thank you very much indeed. Giannivee...God bless this mild mannered Missouri man

  • @giannivee1 Well said. He was a man put into an impossible situation. Japanese culture makes it literally impossible for them to surrender in the face of invasion. They would have fought to the last man, woman and child and the casualties to Japanese civilians alone would have been in the tens of millions, and that doesn't even bring into account the American and Japanese military casualties. Truman is a hero, he saved millions of lives.

  • @Mech610

Japan in 1945 was very deep in what we call today humanitarian catastrophe thanks to US carpet bombing campaign and on the edge of total starvation because food reserves were almost non egsisted so all what people wanted in entire country was that this nightmare will finaly end.

Too bad that this whole pre invasion propaganda created by Truman's PR departament to cover real reason for bomb usage (aka incoming Potsdam conference) is stil alive and well in US...

  • @Qusza2007 The real reason we dropped the bomb was because Japan was acting batshit insane. They had it coming.

  • @rvcakillz45

    Right... -_-

And US Forces on Pacyfic were "paragons of peace and justice"...

  • @Qusza2007 Compared to the Japanese, hell, yes.

  • @Qusza2007 Well we sure as fuck didn't send our children to fly planes into boats. And I'm pretty positive (unless you can show me proof as I would gladly like to see it) that we didn't rape, pillage, and murder millions of people.

  • @rvcakillz45 it was dropped on japan for its war crimes.

  • @rvcakillz45 yes.it was not millions. but the crimes were there of course. on both sides.War is not a picnic. Both sides showed the animal nature of the human.

  • @Qusza2007 Unfortunately for the J ppl, they didn't have much say in their govt.

J military was determined to retain power thru a compromise peace- even if they had to sacrafice millions of J civilians lives.

  • @kentamitchell

Right... i can see how they start III World War on pacyfic on Jonkas wielding Katanas shouting BANZAI during charge on US Marines machine gun nests and tanks... -_-.

On the other hand... wasn't FDR's crazy politic fault that Tojo's hawks comes to power in Japan (not to mention throwing Jaapan in Hitlers's arms) because America started acting like almghty god ant put her nose where she have no business at all?(aka whole US political involvement in shino - japan war)

  • @Qusza2007 Uh-huh.

    1. It's called Spellcheck. Look into it.

    2. "America started acting like God Almighty"? Until Japan occupied ALL of French Indochina, & FDR ordered the oil embargo 7/25/41, the US was Js best supplier of oil & iron. The US wasn't seeking to "bring all 8 pillars of the world under one roof".

No business? Both of FDR 's grandfathers had been active in the China trade- US had done business there since the 1700s.

  • @kentamitchell

I don't recall that US was China Ally during second Shino-Japan war what would justify trade embargo and ultimatum issued by US.

Then following that logic i ask: Where was US trade embargo agaist Nazis?, where was US ultimatum demanding from Hitler full withdrawal of german forces from Poland, Nedherlands, Belgium, Norway, France?, Why US Atlantic Fleet wasn't relocated to Scapa Flow to strength US presence there?

    Care to explain?

    And your last point... -_-

  • @Qusza2007 cd...

I didn't known that FDR used famous motto " I'am the State " in his politic.

But now i see how way too many Americans are still blinded by US Propaganda industry when comes to 1941 - 45 time period and don't want to akcept fact that perhaps not all is shine and clean at US side... especially when comes to December 7 events (especially one of the biggest FDR's lie that this attack was unprovoked by US side) and background for deployment of both bombs.

  • @Qusza2007 You asked about when the US embargoed Nazi Germany- from the1st day of the war FDR enforced Neutrality Acts v Germany & constantly found loopholes to aid the Allies- 1st cash & carry then 3/41 Lendlease,& by Fall '41 escorting war material to the UK. Your comparison of the sending the PacFleet to sending US ships to Scapa Flow is halarious.

  • Comment removed

  • @Qusza2007 In only 500 keystrokes?Your1st majorerror isaccepting Tojo'sdescription of the Hullnoteasan ultimatum. It was the"Proposed Basisfor an Agreement"btwn US&J. A preliminary proposal. It arrived the day the j fleet sailed for PH.

Youoverllok thefact that in 12/41UK was on theropes v Germany & Italy.Had Japan attacked the Brits (& not theUS) Thy could have overrun India& Australia- curtainsfor Churchill-& making the world a very dangerous place for the US.

  • @kentamitchell what?

dude your dumb. Japan demanded U.S oil and was pissed after we imposed an embargo. They wanted to strike the u.s first in order to scare the u.s into renegotiating the oil deal that's favorable to japan.

  • @LordKaisen Actuallyt, Japan sought to conquer the Dutch East Indes oil fields, so they would not have to worry about the US.

  • @giannivee1

Agreed...and he is indeed from what they call the "show me" state, and he did.

  • @giannivee1

he was a tyrant. he was the first to send the message that presidents can do whatever they please without the approval of congress- which violates the law. despite if his intentions were good or not, what he started was a terrible chain reaction.

  • @df61660a Obviously your history is flawed, he can't be a tryrant, because his rise to power was due to being on the ticket with Roosevelt, all of Roosevelts Previous VP's shrank back into obscurity. FDR kept his medical condition a close secret, few Americans knew he was in a wheel chair. The nation and Truman were equally shocked at FDR's passing. Years after his Presidency, Americans remembered him with great respect and warmth..you must be a foreigner...(((Gasp!!!)))

  • @giannivee1

born and raised in USA... and seeing the complacency of letting our presidential leaders strip away Congress' power and citizens liberties scares me. that is all.

  • @df61660a Congress (Senate and House), the Federal Court System, as well as the President have been attacking our freedoms for a long time. When the people's hearts are far away from God it is much easier for them to steal our God given freedoms. As Jesus said...."Watch and Pray". Thanks Gianni
