  • This is wonderful. Carl Flesch is my great grandfather, and my 9-year-old daughter has just started to learn how to play the violin. Remarkably, she is likely the first descendant of Carl Flesch to play the violin! Thank you so much for posting.

  • He did have a Strad but this recording was not played on it. It was played on the "ex flesch" violin named after him, made by peter guarneri.
