There is a difference between having normal, healthy bodyfat where you have maximum strength and being fat. Although you dont have a six pack you can still be lean and healthy. I'd say its healthier to be at 14% than 8% in general.

I would like to say that I am also a personal trainer and bodybuilder and come show time I am around 4 percent body fat.....I am weaker and crabby so when not doing a show I like cheese burgers and beer and all that nasty but good stuff in the off season I like to be about 12-18 percent bodyfat it's not a pretty but I am a stronger more happy person
i think single digits are dangerous to maintain. you feel sluggish and weak, unless you are a pro-model, or bodybuilder then fine, but if t he majority of ppl walked around under 10% ppl would be tired, slow, and depressed/angry all the time. thats btw not debatable it absolutely 100% true.

Football demands a far lower level of fitness because of the nature of the game meaning the training for each is quite different. Honestly, Americans are bigger than europeans, but that doesn't necisarilly mean that we have a lower body fat to muscle percentage. I have a friend who is 6 feet tall and fits in size 28 jeans, but has a body fat percentage around 30. Being thinner, does not mean being healthier.

As for cheat meals, I just go for whatever, donuts, pizza, burgers, hot dogs, etc. As long as you don't do it too much and lose focus of your goals, you'll be fine.

I think all body types are fine as long as it's healthy. Bodybuilder, powerlifter, strongman, track runners, football players, baseball players, greek statue... whatever. If you're healthy, and like how you look, keep it up. When kept under control bodyfat is natural and healthy, and helps with exercise and general living.

Carbs and more carbs , but they come in handy for when i'm doing strength endurance programs workouts. Honestly, Americans are bigger than europeans, but that doesn't necisarilly mean that we have a lower body fat to muscle percentage. I have a friend who is 6 feet tall and fits in size 28 jeans, but has a body fat percentage around 30. Being thinner, does not mean being healthier.

That James guy is full of crap. I don't even mind his bashing individuals or America, its more that he's just so incredibly close minded in thinking that everyone should conform to his idea of fitness (which I assume for him is based less on building strength and muscle than it is on making muscles more defined, and there is nothing wrong with that) that its impossible to take him seriously.

Great video! I'm Canadian but the email was obviously from an ignorant individual whom had a holier then thou attitude. I seriously despise people like that! I'm a seasonal drinker, I diet hard in the winter and enjoy the summer weekend BBQ's. Keep up the great work.
