ive got a secret spot in lake michigan. the waves break off rocks under the water, and its about 14 feet deep. the waves at my spot get to 10 feet sometimes. its nice.

I know it can be hard to keep a wave goin on the lakes( I surf lake mich.) but i think the guy with the yellow board needs to focus more on feelin the wave instead of stompin the crap outa his board right off the bat. Yes it can help, but theres more to it than kicking your board as fast as you can.

Surfers on the great lakes have to make the most of what they have, sadly we do not have the priviledge of living in smoggy, overcrowded California, where you have to battle ten other surfers for a wave, we're still all having a blast when we're out there and that all that really matters, and you should definitely check your history before you make comments, many times if you're lucky you could see waves like this twice a week, I was just out for two days straight in waves 3 feet over my head.

I've heard that Lake Michigan is the best for surfing, on the Michigan side of it. Superior in late fall would be fucking gnarly. I've never surfed, but i used to skimboard, so its cool to see people surfing in the big lakes.

I first surfed lake Ont in Nov 79 I had justed moved to Oakville From Calif. I was crossing the Skyway and looked down and said Oh my God , Those r waves! I surfed the Great lakes for the next 3 yrs. before heading south to Fl. I returned in 1989 for 3 yrs and surfed them some more. Any how I liked your flick! How about doing one when the waves are bigger! I have pic's I break out to show other surfers and they go no way! Anyhow PEACE OUT SURFERKEVMAN
