  • very nice, keep on going!! No ones perfect when riding, theres always something to improve. just keep up the good work!

  • she keeps looking down when jumps... she has to look past the jump

  • what hapenned with it eye

  • It looks like he's disunited in canter... o:

  • Looks lyk he has ringworm on his right eye :/ x

  • That is a beautiful horse!!

  • He is beautiful

  • looks quite good x

  • that was a very nice canter x

  • Comment removed

  • wow she is an amazing rider!

  • yer she looks like her horse

  • The white around his eye, to the person that asked, is sarcoids. Apparantly its some kind of disease, it gets itchy and he has vet checkups on it and a cream, but i dont think it affects him much. He had to go to the vet in leahurst for collick, which was scary because it was serious, but he recovered fine thanfully.

  • Just logged into an old email and saw people are still commenting on this, cant believe how many views its had. By the way, its not me riding the horse, its my girlfriend. And this was over 3 years ago, i no nothing about horse riding but i know she has lessons every week so i persume whatever any one said about she were doing wrong, she probably does right now 3 years later.

Thanks again for the nice comments! Hes still doing well, and is 19 years old, so was 16 in this video.

  • OMG! can that horse be any cuter :)) He's sooo sweet and gentle,, he must be a great ride x

  • yes she is a good rider but help is always good. with horses you never stop learning :) maybe you'd find it helpful lengthening your stirrups a hole or to so you dont look perched on the saddle it may be easier to put your heels down and when you jump dont be too scared to put your hands up Sids neck a bit otherwise he might get a bit uncomfortable. :) just trying to be helpful I quite like being told how to improve so just a bit of friendly advice :)

  • @metalhead861 cheers mate ill tell her your comment, much better than trying to come across nasty about it. Sounds so bitchy the horse riding world lol

  • @mikehallam01 lol! yeah, some of them can be. Has she improved since then? I love watching people grow as riders, and I personally am as well. A thing that good riders understand is that most feedback is easier said than done. But with time, it becomes second nature. :)

  • @mikehallam01 - she is a good rider and ii do agree there is always room for improvement, if you dont mind my opinion, whilst juping shorten the reins a bit more and lean a little more that way u have more balance and control in landing x

  • @mikehallam01 yeh I know. luckily i've always been a tomboy as I'm around guys alot. and I hate bitchy people. they give all horseriders a bad name but I do like to be helpful :)

  • I'm Jelous of your horse ! , Mine is Fatter then anything !!

  • i love that horse :) if u aint got anythin nice to say just dont bother at all x

  • woah this is a great vid :-) good work he's a gorgeous dude and shes a fab rider

  • I am shocked how picky people are I think they both look lovely and its a pity that people have to be passing stupid comments lovely stable lovely smiling girl or woman who clearly enjoys horses and riding them I bet all you people with nasty comments were bullies at school and dont even own a horse so if you cant enjoy it dont comment Im watching it from Ireland , its my second time actually and always enjoy seeing how other people enjoy life

  • Tell the rider to re-watch the jumping! Dont you see that when your horse is landing your pulling on his face!!! It hurts me to watch! Learn how to RELEASE please!!!!! Imagine having a big piece of metal in your mouth being yanked on because the rider doesnt know what their doing!!!!! And push your heels down!!!!!!!!!!

  • i think people should keep there opinions to themselves if they cant be nice about it, people aren't just going to be good riders like that, it takes a lot of time and effort, plus how would you like it if someone told everything they thought you were doing wrong all at once, you wouldn't like it. yes she could do with some instruction but that doesn't mean she's a bad rider!

  • @lizzeefirth 100% agree. Just saw the video and I thought she was great, both horse and owner. I've just started riding myself and I know I've got lots to learn but, it all takes time. One thing I can say, GOOD LUCK TO YOU GIRL.

  • @lizzeefirth 100% agree. Just saw the video and I thought she was great, both horse and owner. I've just started riding myself and I know I've got lots to learn but, it all takes time, so yeah, people need to give her a break because she's doing brilliantly. I'd have her teach, no problem. YOU GO GIRL. : )

  • Lovely horse, could gather the reins up abit when riding, for better control.. When jumping if you raised yr hands up as you lean forward it would probably help.. Hope the right eye is better, looked quite bad, especially as the leakage went right down to the side...But yeah well done...would hate to see what slack i get if i posted a video..lol!!

  • @mcmighty1 Some horses do better with looser reins :)

  • hes soooooo cute

  • i like the music change! :) good job!!!

  • what's that white stuff around his eye?

  • That horse has such lovely gaits i love his canter i bet its so soft to sit :) xx

  • pretty horse

    What happend to his eye

not safe horse needs to be tied up while grooming

  • In Soviet Russia, horse ride you xDDDDDDDD

  • @crackincrackers now thats funny!!!!!!!!!!!!! good one! hahahahaha

  • you need to work on your position but you had a nice canter transition

and what a lovely horse is he yours? and when you are jumping try to reach ahead with your hands and land lightly out of the 2 point.nice riding

  • you dont need to be taught how to ride a fucking horse, get on and go... don't tell me im wrong because i can ride a horse with no help or lessons.

  • @TunedAmg There is a difference between riding a horse and just sitting on it. Nobody can just get on a horse and be a perfect rider. There's more to riding than simply sitting on a horse's back and saying 'go'.

  • @TunedAmg I'd love to see that :L you dont know what your talking about so shut up. what experience do you have with horses? it takes years to become a good rider you need help and teaching because it is dangerous they have their own minds. there is reason for the technique it helps you stay onboard so you dont hurt yourself.

  • @metalhead861 When I rode your mum it was get on and go... shame you didn't see it though xxxxxxx

  • @metalhead861 suck me off and then ill fuck your nan

  • she has a great seat :)

  • 1:01 yep always clean a horse : )

  • omg i love your horse

  • I ride Saddleseat and I don't know much about jumping, but her reins look fine to me...

  • aw the horse is cute!

  • I'm surprised it seems that mostly women do horseback riding. I wonder if it's like a crotch thing...

  • @JeReL19 lol actually its mostly men that do horse riding, coz if you watch horse racing, most of them are men, i think actually all of them are men!!! xx

  • Does it actually matter that she doesn't ride the horse to some of your "expectations"? I'm sorry, but horse and rider seem at ease with each other and the horse is clearly relaxed. It doesn't matter how good a rider you are just as long as the horse isn't being injured in the process and is loved by it's owner. Your horse is ace by the way.

  • YOU NEED TO RELEASE! TIGHTEN THE REIGNS A BIT AND RELEASE! also put your heels down a little more

  • love that horse! Just wondering why it's one eye has white around it?

  • not the best stable around it doesnt look safe my pony has the cleanest stable ever!!!

  • @horseriderhannah if the stable has four walls and a door, it is fine, how can you say it doesnt look safe? it is perfectly fine!!! it is made of brick, what more should it have?

  • Patriciababe, shut up, she´s doing fine. xl

  • hahaha. i love how all uk about ur gf horse is his name and how tall he is :)

  • gorgeous horse :D x

  • release a little

your horse probably feels like hes geting his mouth ripped open

  • RELEASE RELEASE RELEASE!!!!

  • @sing4life64 she is!

  • he looks like a fantastic horse! with loads of potential:) , im sure you would both benefit a lesson to tune you both into each other :) xx

  • 1. du kannst nicht sitzen

    2. zieht du ihr in den maul rein beim springen!!!!!!!

  • jeeez you people need to take it down a notch, she didnt ask for your advice so dont be tellin her what she's doing wrong!!

  • in the beggining what was up with the horses eye btw its stunning

  • I know your all trying to be nice with the advice, but calm it a bit, some of you are being unnecessarily rude.

  • :S ok the realese on the horses neck is killing me!! poor horse must have a sore mouth O.o ... a simple crest release should be done at least!..but with reins that long!!! jeeze O.o

  • to all who r intresed in horse racing and have not even sat ona horse the BRS is a really good place 2 start

  • :S !!.. where the hell are the bent elbows.. shes so stff when she rides.. and the jumping.. dont get me started im not perfect but can see major faults!.. ..let the horse have his mouth! ..u.u shes not even slightly releasing.. ..also in the pictures..ur looking down at the horses neck!, LOOK UP!

  • @pausinifan

Your right! Where the hell are the bent elbows???

  • at my school we werent taught to bring our arms forward over jumps my mum had to teach me to do it and now my jumping has really improved!

  • sit up stright heel down be carm and keep breathing or the horse will feel what your feeling and he/she might play up and when i started trotting i holded onto the saddle its a lot easyer and most of all have fun :) good luck

  • hi all...can anyone please give me some advise on horse riding...i am going on my first lesson on monday...this coming monday, and i am so nerves...thank you...

  • i know ive replied 4 weeks late lol but ive just saw the comment. Dont be worried or nervous although i was when i first went but once u r sat on the horse and being shown what to do its fine. Have u had any lessons since and if u need any advice, just ask! :)

  • some good advice: always keep your heels down, and always have your eyes and face facing forward and looking straight where you want to go. if you don't have faith you can ride, the horse can always sense when your not feeling secure. so haha theres some good riding tips for when you go to that lesson!lol

  • nice horse, nice video . what happened to his eye. cheers from australia .

  • Lools at the number plate name thinggy xD haha that was pretty cool (:

  • echt gruselig!!! ein bisschen abnehmen waere gar nicht so schlecht... reiten ist ein tanz mit dem pferd, balletstunden waeren zu empfehlen um den oberkoerper zu stabilisieren...

  • geez her hands are like IN her lap!

  • Uh :( Hacken runter, Hände höher, Ellbogen anwinkeln, Kopf hoch und Zügel kürzer. Der Sitz ist echt grausam *grusel*

Sorry, aber das musste echt sein.

Tell your girlfriend, that she needs riding lessons. It's better for her and her horse. Sorry :(

    1Novemberkind1

  • Bloody hell did she ever get the thing moving in the end or what? People, we cannot achieve ANY of the training scale without being forward first. That horse looks lazy. Maybe have a coffee before you get on board next time, you both look asleep!

    Sorry to be blunt.

Also if that horse were to stop (which it looks like judging my that tempo) she would go straight over the top - heels are up, and she's crouched up like a ball up there. I would suggest some lessons. Nice horse other than that.

  • better to learn on a quiet horse, you should know that, cheers from australia .

  • your heels need to stay down

  • You have a beautiful mare. ^^

  • also.. keep your head up. looking where you wanna go. cause where you look is where you go

  • a lil advice if i may?

your sitting too straight in your 2 point position, bend a lil foreward with your hips not your shoulders, your bending your shoulders foreward and that will throw him off balance, keep your soulders square. also move your hands farther up his neck when your jumping he needs to be able to extend his neck to check his spacing when you graduate to higher fences.

    good luck in the future

  • omg wats up with his eye???

  • just some tips, heels down, and sit back more when approaching the fence, it looks like you go into your jumping position too early. and when you do your jumping position, look up!! dont look down at the fence, bacause where you look, your horse looks, and you dont want him to be cautious and checking out the fence when you graduate to taller fences. and also, in your jumping position, bring your hands farther up his neck! u can check out my vids to see how i jump, good luck : )

  • She's an adult and doesn't need any tips. Plus, I don't think she wants tips from a kid. I'm sure she's more experienced.

  • well from her videos, it didn't look like it.

  • and, i wouldnt be talkin, KID. if u think shes more experienced than me, watch my vids, and also, if u wanna judge, at least put some vids of you riding so I can judge you : )

  • I'm not a kid, I'm a child. ;)

I did not mean she was more experienced than you, but then again you never know. There's always someone out there who's a better rider than you. *Sighs* If you would look at my channel and pay attention, you'd know I haven't taken any recent videos, and that's why all my videos suck at the moment. ;)

This arguement is completely pointless also, therefore I am ending it. Goodbye amateur. ;)

  • u have no vids of u riding xD

  • alright so admitedly i havent read the rest of you and horseluver9509's little dispute but just because she is an adult doesn't mean she can't use pointers. I'm 17 and i teach at a riding school and i teach adults, just because theyre older than you doesn't mean they ride better.

More experience doesn't mean she's a better rider either, just means shes ridden longer.

i have to agree with horseluver9509 she does need to fix up her position a bit, meaning no disrespect to her either.

  • Doesn't matter. She never asked for anyone's critique, so you shouldn't give it to her.

  • you can't think that someone is more expeirenced just becuse they r older!!!! i am 14 and i can jump 4'6 !!!! i ride reli green horses and i have been riding since i was 3 u cant speak 4 all of us!!!

  • Indeed. I'm for an example a girl that started to learn to ride horses at a later age and I can't jump that high yet, even though I want to learn that xD (I've only got around 4 years experience)

  • Your girlfriend's horse has beautiful movement!!!!!

Very smooth looking canter!! And she sits it well!!!

I would just advise her to sit up a little, put her heels down, and look up. (where you look is where you go)

But she did a nice job and has potential!

    good video too!

  • beautyful horse n a really gd 1st jump!

  • ur firs jump was really good! im sure that i would fell ..!

  • Aw. Really pretty horse.

Just a tip- heels down, head up. I've made that mistake... Almost ran into a fence.

  • omg i have also done that to ;-)

  • Virtual high-five! :D

  • nyaa hes the same height as harvey one of my fave horses to ride ever X3 you horse is really beautiful ^^ ur lucky to have him.

  • beautiful horse!

  • she needs to not haunch over, sit up straight and look up! her head is always down!! nice horse though, he looks very calm and comfy!

  • i think all of use that are being smart saying she cant ride properly should shut the fuck up, because im a horse rider and a very good one at that, and i think she is doin fine! tell ur gf shes a good rider and her horse is beautiful! :):)

  • he is so cute i love the marking around his eye great riding

  • he is so beautiful

  • Can you people please leave her alone. She probably knows how her horse responds to other techniques and this is the one that works best for the two of them. Also maybe she feels more comfortable with shorter stirrups.

    Sid is beautiful....

  • i would kill to hav emy own horse its realy not fair i might give up riding because i cant accomplish anything i learn to ride and go to a lesson one every 2 weeks but its too expensive and werre i ride u cant do shows unless u own a pony :'(

  • Hey i know exactly how you feel. I had to stop riding because they where so expensive but i still want my own Horse. And you can't have a horse unless you have lessons so..

  • ur friend is a really good rider :)

    i love the horse :)

  • owh, how cute!

  • i think the horse is very pretty, your girlfriend is a good rider.

  • whats around the horses right eye?

  • its just a marking. pretty unique

  • i doubt thats a marking, actually. horses get those on there face a lot, it could be from an accident or from rubbing there face on the wood from the stalls, or maybe a calcium disorder. hehe if not, then a pretty unusual marking(:

  • yeah, your probably right.

  • i mean unless you like to kill your horse i would loosen up

  • i disagree equinegirl1711 i think her reins are too tight, i have been riding for ovr ten years and it look like shes pulling back and that will make the horse slow down

  • Thats really good! but when he canters you need to imagen that you have a tail and then tuck it under.. Also when you just you need to give him more rein. Try to do a crest release.

  • what a sweet horse! that bugger doesnt like to stay in the canter tho! cluck and kiss to him when it feels like hes going to transition to trot. even put some leg pressure on. i rode a horse and used to dog that

  • roll your shoulders back and bend ur elbow more lovely leg possition do and a stunning horse!!!!

  • he didn move away from her when she was brshing his tail you idiot he saw her boyfriend and wanted to say hello are u completely stupid xleper17

and omg u guys i bet half of u dont know the first thing about riding jesus its a video her obviously not very horsewise boyfriend put together so jesus just watch it nd dont bother saying what she needs to do!

    Such a nice horse :)

    x

  • No offence, but maybe she finds her horse performes better with less 'contact'.

I ride in just a halter and 12foot line-i do Parelli Natural Horsemanship- and i never ride with short short reins like i was taught in traditional and i havent used a bridle & bit in 4 1/2 years :)

    just a thought...........

  • Your Reins are far too Long. They need to be much Shorter to have a really good Contact with the Horse. Your Stirrups are a Bit Short, Im just saying! But, try to Shorten up your Reins, and loosen up those Stirrups, and you`ll do just fine.

  • a very beautiful horse. what lovely markings!

I don't think I need to say it as everyone else did, but keep in mind that everyone has room for improvement.

I've never seen anyone brush a horse's tail right behind the horse, though. Probably because you know your horse and he's used to you being there. However, he didn't look too keen to see you there and stepped forward to get away from you. They're like loaded guns back there, I never stand on that end of the barrel.

  • Try riding with a bit more contact on your reins, also, sit up straight and push your shoulders back. Your stirrups are a bit short :P I A great way to test is to let your foot out of the stirrup and the bottom of the stirrup iron should be just below your ankle :) When your jumping, you should push your heels down, you still have a fair bit of weight in the saddle and by pushing your heels down more you lift that weight off of the saddle allowing your horse to jump heigher.

  • Her reins are too saggy and stirrups too short. Also her hands shouldn't be that close to her legs. They need to be together and by the tree of her saddle. Beautiful horse!

  • Comment removed

  • i think its an injury scar

  • her reins are a bit saggy... she needs to turn her hands so thumbs are on top

  • what happened to his eye??????

  • i think its just a marking...

  • tell your girlfriend her hand position looks terrible

  • Your horse is stunning!!! Good job riding. I would just bring your hands a little higher up the neck!!!

  • i love sids name!

  • who gives a shit, seriously horse riding is horse riding not whos got to be better than who

  • she isnt perfect and yes her hands need to go 4ward more over the jump but apart from that they look happy and comfortable together which is ;fantastic, gr8 vid :)

  • The horse is lovely, but the rider needs to get her hands out of her crotch.

  • Love the horse

  • i love ur horse

  • i luv your video and especially your horse

  • gorguz horse!!

  • her heels were bugging me. anyway, gorgeous horse.

  • I think this horse is really pretty. I wish I was aloud a horse but my mmum says there to much work and are to expensive to look after.

  • ok guys, im sure she has a trainer to tell her what shes doing wrong! Lovely horse :D

  • Gorgeous horse, but riding was....eh. A good horse, and he took her through

  • sid looks like my horse bear... he's 16.2 as well...

  • What is it with all this riding-analysis?!?! Please keep your riding instructions to yourself, unless you do it in a polite and friendly manner - and for gods sake - stop critizing in such a unconstructive way -its aweful!!

  • i think that she needs to learn how to put her heals downwards and her hands foward before she jumps any higher she shouldn't be jumping like this. at all she can hurt herself and her horse one day by riding this way.

  • release over jumps!

my horses former owner did not release over jumps instead yanked on his mouth while going over fences which then caused him to speed up whenever he came to a jump because he was scared of the pain. thats why she sold him. I worked with her for 5 years now we go cross country hunter and jumper perfectly fine :)

  • great honest horse there and your a good rider BUT get your hands off its neck!! its an awful habit

  • i ride my horse like that he goes much better

  • Did this guy ASK for people to criticize his girlfriend's riding?

Would you walk up to him in the street and tell his girlfiend how to ride?

  • no i dont think anyone would do that. they are just saying this because one day she is going to jump high enough to where her horse needs his neck to jump and she is going to make him trip over the jump that way and hurt herself and the horse.

  • You just totally missed the point I was making.

  • no i didn't you said if he asked. no he didn't i understand that but we are telling him this so he knows one day his girlfriend is gonna hurt her horse.

  • beautiful horse. plzzz look at the vids of me riding and comment!

  • awsome horse =-) ont worrie about her, shes a good rider.....

  • Why the fuck does it matter?

  • ride it in a snaffle if your just gonna rest your hands on its neck

  • She doesn't have the right contact with her horse through her reins; she's putting her hands on the saddle en they are constantly just haning there.

  • Wow. That is so nice.

  • beautiful horse but whats up with his eye ?

  • It actually looks like he may have had an injury there and its scarred, otherwise its probably just his clour marking thing =P
