John Martyn was a true genius. He's virtually unknown in the States, but all of us who are guitarists and songwriters revere and remember him. God bless you John, for being true to what all of us work towards: true and honest expression through the guitar or human emotion.
@WilliamBlackWolf Wholeheartedly agree with your beautiful and succinctly put comment. I saw him a couple of years before he passed and he was in pain and tired but he still shocked me with the brevity of his imagination and skill.
Grew up with his music, (him and Joni Mitchell). Such a blessing. I was so sad when he died. Hey thanks John. Such a talent and thank you for being a major part of the music that formed the background of my life.
