I love this song. Ronny has come to my church a few times and he always sings this one. The last time he was there he took a break and my pastor asked me to sing "He came looking for me" which is written by Gerald Crabb. I didn't even think about that but when i was done he got up and gave me one of the best compliments I have ever gotten. He told be I blew him away even if I did sing a Crabb song instead of a Hinson song. He thought it was funny. Such an awesome man and wonderful singer.

I cried when I heard this song. Oh how I love lighthouses and the light that shines from the top, that is GOD talkoing to me and telling me that I AM HIS CHILD,and that light was shine at it;s BRIGHTEST moment to bring me home after my brain surgeries (2 of them) first one on Oct 11th 2011, and the second on Oct 18th.... today I am doing better and better thanks to ALL the prayers from all of YOU. GOD has plans for me to full-fill and I am ready now.

This was at one time and may still be the most recorded song in Gospel Music history. Thanks Ronnie for letting God use you in a vessel for writing this awesome song. And to think it almost never saw the light of day, I know you wrote in on a piece of toilet paper and threw it away because you were having trouble figuring out the melody or harmony. But Kenny rescued it and worked it out on his guitar and history was made. Keep writing the great songs, Ronnie!
