Not that much contradiction, they were totally different situations. MJ was raised by his father, every day of his life growing up. By contrast, his kids hardly ever saw Debbie, she's a stranger to them. As weird as it felt to MJ to be unable to call his father 'dad', it would feel equally strange for the kids to call some stranger 'mom'.

Who are the media to question the family unit - it was more secure than what is typical for kids almost anywhere in the US. No, I don't really trust the American law system. Especially since I work at a jail. Guilty people get off all the time. OJ Simpson was found not guilty of killing his ex wife. We all know he did it. I think that's a very simplistic argument. I think there are a lot of us who loved him a long time ago, for a long time, but then got fed up with with what appeared to be increasingly strange, unexplainable behaviour, and his deflection of things that he didn't want to acknowledge truthfully. There are candid pictures during the BAD era that show that it was makeup/permanent makeup being used..he didn't get lighter gradually. You could see the powder all over his face..white but then his hands were dark brown (make-up had worn off etc.)..MJ had a lot of money..editing and permanent makeup worked wonders.
He still had patches of brown on his body in the later years..Its even on his medical records..his condition was recognized during the trial and stated by his dermatologist.
