I break hair ties all the time. lol. The long ties for that I use for the puff that you gave me for the contest work really well though! I so loved that package you have no idea. lol. Anyway girl. Hi, I was wondering what you do to your roots when they need to be tightened up? That would be a highly appreciated how-to video. My preferred method is to have it looped by somebody to avoid wax and gels, but I just moved to England and I'm having problems finding somebody who does that over here so I need alternative methods. Any help is appreciated :)

Hey Chescaleigh! Love love love your vid's! I have dreads exactly the same lenght, so happy they are getting longer, to keep my hair from frizzing between washes I tie at night. But now my hair is longer its difficult to tie and keep flat. How are you wrapping your hair at night? Any suggestions! Love the perm rod styles and the braid styles! I'm soo gonna try em. I live in Vancouver, BC, and let me tell you girl, hard to get some cool dread styles out here! BTW, how do I send u a pic?

i wish i had an answer for you! i rarely wrap my hair at night. but if i'm wearing curls i try to so i can maintain them. you can email me a picture if can.

I really like cut up black panyhose for hair ties.  The really disappear in the hair and are gentle.

How long did it take for your dreads to reach that length? I just started my dreads today (without cutting my hair - back combing) and it's about ear length now.

Hey...I just wanted to tell you thanks for the tip about using a few locs to tie up the rest of the locs. I don't know why I didn't think of this before a-duh! My dreads are about the same length as your in this video...keep the video tips coming!

i started my locks a little over 3 years ago. they were fairly short when i started them. i started my locks with just single strand twists. i had a friend that started them who has locks and she just sectioned my hair and then twisted each piece. my hair wasn't very long when i started, you can see on the timeline. basically, i just washed my hair very gentally for the first few months and it started to lock up around 6 months. best of luck! keep me posted!
