Back to my claim. Korean maps contain several errors and therefore, any conclusion reached from the maps need to be scrutinized. The claim that Usando is Jukdo is not in accord with other historical documents, nor are there solid evidences to back up that claim.
On the contrary, there are Japanese maps that are drawn with details and accuracy. Those maps depict Dokdo as Korean territory. If you're going to examine Korean maps, I suggest you to be fair and apply the same standard to the Japanese maps as well.
I guess the map you means Hayashi shihei's map, the "takeshima" means Ulluengdo , not today's lianocurt Rocks. In edo era, Japanese called Ulluengdo as Takeshima. Or , the map you said is Takeshima Argonaut island and Matsushima Dagelet island. it is not Liancourt Rocks today.
I do not consider Hayashi's map as strong evidence because it did not labeled the nearby island as Dokdo (Matsushima).

Usangook and Usando are two different islands. You have to be careful when you Usan as it can lead to confusion.

Here's the problem with your claim. Those maps do not contain the phrase 'usando'. What you're doing is making long inferences based on the characterizations of jukdo presented on those maps. It's not a strong argument as it leads to contradiction with other historical documents.

Back to my claim. Korean maps contain several errors and therefore, any conclusion reached from the maps need to be scrutinized. The claim that Usando is Jukdo is not in accord with other historical documents, nor are there solid evidences to back up that claim.

I guess the map you means Hayashi shihei's map, the "takeshima" means Ulluengdo , not today's lianocurt Rocks. In edo era, Japanese called Ulluengdo as Takeshima. Or , the map you said is Takeshima Argonaut island and Matsushima Dagelet island. it is not Liancourt Rocks today.

The map I'm interested in is 1894 map, revealed by professor hosaka. In addition, various national maps by japan that exclude the island lead me to believe in the korean claim. Japanese history book also depicted the same information.

NO, Hayashi's map Ulluengdo part is referenced from Korean map stored in Nagasaki . Korean map Usando which locates north east of Ulluengdo with narrow wide single island is appers today's Jukdo.
Also, the Hosaka's map is Argonaut island and Dagelet island. It is not lianocurt rocks (twin pinnacles)

yes, some map just copied 東国與地勝覧 which Usando have west of Ullunegdo, before Ulluengdo inspection starts on 18century.
But..After 18th century, the people who inspected and controlled was Korean Officials stationed on Samchok and Wolson-jung and they made Ulluengdo inspector's map.

yes, Lee Gyuwon considered Usan is just a another name of Ulleungdo so that is why he draw two island ,One is Jukdo and the other is Seommok (Gwaneumdo today) Also, he suggested that Ulleungdo is eastern limit of Joseon.

Usangook and Usando are two different islands. You have to be careful when you Usan as it can lead to confusion.
Usangook is present day Ulleungdo, named by the people that lived there before being incorporated into shilla. Usando is present day Dokdo which was considered as part of Usangook.

Second. Argonaut island is a fictious island. Western travelers thought that there were three (major) island between Korea and Japan, but Japanese map makers knew that there were only two, namely ulleungo and dokdo. As a result , they only drew two islands on their map, although in the wrong places. So as you can see, they knew that both Ulleungdo and dokdo were part of korea.

No, mostly detailed Inspcctor's Ulleungdo maps are made by Ullunegdo inspectors who supervised Ullunegdo and stationed Samchok and Wolson-Jung. from those maps, it is obvious that they recognized Usando is Jukdo. It is also Korean academy admitted Usando is Jukdo on those inspector's map.
Anyway, go Ulleungdo, and check Ullunegdo inspector's map from Wadari or Nausejong. I went Ulluengdo with my Korean freinds and we are concruded that Usando is Jukdo Boussole Rocks.

That is a Korean way to create a "history".
Do you know Takashi Uemura who is a journalist of Asahi Shimbun, and he wrote a report of "comfort women in WW2" at the first in the world. His wife is a daughter of 粱順任. And 粱順任 is a regular director of the Korean organization which asks Japan for compensation. Go check it out.

★About Dokdo(easy)
1.Japanese territory must be decided by SF treaty. Dokdo isn't mentioned in this treaty(ilands Japan had to renounce).
2.Korean government required Japan renounce Dokdo by SF treaty, but US government denied it.
3.All nations ratify treaties must follow the leader(US in this case)'s will. Korea didn't reserve SF treaty, so Korea also has to follow it.
(SCAPIN is not final decision, coz SCAP are not nations, they don't have right to decide eventual territory)
