I went to see the musical twice while in New York, LOVED it (obviously). The fact that it's already closing makes my heart ache. Didn't enough people go to see it? Both shows I went to was sold out (looked like it anyway) and it got standing ovations at the end. People seemed to like it. The music is amazing and the script is, at times, hilarious. Met both Megan and Stephanie after the show - they're wonderful! I only wish I could go see it again...

I really want to see this. the film version is one of my favorite movies ever and dolly is my favorite singer. It sucks that this is closing on sept. 6. My favorite songs from this are Get out and stay out, Backwoods Barbie and Shine Like the sun. i listen to the soundtrack about 5x a day. lol. :)

I believe the ladies are contracted for a year, and am pretty sure the year starts from Broadway and not from LA.

But shows now are more likely to be closed than to change their original cast. I hope 9 to 5 stays around for a good while.

Woooow!! this show got shit on from the tony critics! I went to go see it last saturday and i enjoyed every minute of it. THe ensemble was great the lighting set and choreography. It is worth every penny. ( this is coming from a guy)! I feel really bad for the cast because they did not get a great response from the tony's. Only 4!!! Stephanie J. Block should have gotten nominated for the tony instead of alison JAnney. It's Absurd!!

Yea It just opened a few weeks agoon broadway at the marquis theater. A Musical written by Dolly Parton based on 80s film. It is really really good and I recomend it a ton!!!! The cast is amazing and it a joy to watch.

It was Kerry Ellis' last show, and she was incredible. the girl you'll see is amazing too! She was the first Elphaba I saw. The two other leads are also amazing! I really want to see 9 to 5. If you haven't heard already, Megan Hilty and Kathy Fitzgerald (Roz) were nominated for the Outer Critics Circle awards and Megan Hilty and Allison Janney were both nominated for the Drama League Award for Distinguished Performance, but Stephanie wasn't nominated for either one! Don't get me wrong, I love Megan as the next Wicked fan and Allison is so amazing. I just feel really bad because she really deserves an award for all her hard work. Hopefully, the Tony voters think differently.
