Yup, this was my childhood...a small holiness church on the outskirts of south central los angeles. Of course, people didn't get the 'holy ghost' every sunday, neither did they just burst out into it. you have to have a good preacher, minister, whatever to hit all the right buttons by pointing out a problem you were going through and building up anxiety over. a lot of the members of my church good reason to release all that pent up anxiety. moshing is the closest i have seen come to this.
