Love love love this! Don't know what inspired me to find this today... Was absolutely INUNDATED with personal messages on FB in February,& you were one of the people I definitely didn't want to leave out! Perry didn't leave ANYBODY out, and I am STILL trying to write everyone back, on his behalf. He shared with me what an inspiration you were to HIM! I recognized your name immediately. He thought so highly of you! You WERE Thom"actor-wise"!Will get in touch soon!Best wishes! Liz(Perry's sister)ox
Giacomo (James) "Amico Mio" though I must confess I've been hitherto unfamiliar with "Moore" his life and work, though I've loved the Authors of the early 20th Century portion of "The Oxford Movement" such as "C.S Lewis" or "J.R.R,Tolkien" from early childhood on to University!
However "Bello" what I'm most moved by is how eloquently you speak of having been inspired toward your "Craft" by one who "Championed" value the queer (LGBTQ) experience! You Make Bobby Griffiths' (Prayers for Bobby) old lover/boyfriend "Blaine" here enormously proud of you! And I'll be looking to read "Hero"!
how can you be a Christian AND a faggot at the same time? The Tihrd Book Of Moses Called Leviticus 20:13 clearly says, "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." God clearly condemns that lifestyle.
OH MY GOD ;( ...... I just finished reading HERO today and I didn't even no Perry Moore died recently. I was so shocked. The day he passed away was the day I bought the book. I absolutely love it and I think more books and story lines should contain the same genre people like in their daily lives but should include gay people. R.I.P Perry.
james... a great tribute - you are a credit to your parents and you grand parents - I have always loved you mother's music and your grandfather was one of my favorite actors. good luck with your career.
I was saddened to hear the news of his passing today. I'm not familiar with "Hero", but I am a lifelong fan of the Chronicles of Narnia. I'm eternally grateful that Perry was able to bring a treasured part of my childhood to many more people. My undying gratitude to him. I hope that his peers will continue his work in that respect.
I will defnitely look into reading "Hero"; your comments in your video exhibit he had many great things to say and inspired many people.
I loved "Hero" and have read it several times over since I bought it.
I really hope his death does not stop the process of bringing "Hero" to television, as it is a perfect story to help advance equal rights and it would also be entertaining.
How did I get here? I was watching James Mason extoll the virtues of Thunderbird Wine. :-/
