  • im stickin 2 what i have & workin that until they turn tha lights out on me.

  • software gives u 10x more power over audio

  • @Doubl3dge3891 huh? What are you talking about fam? lol

  • love it give me one

  • crap, if it can't stand alone it ain't worth it

  • @samsevan yep, it's a controller and software

  • @samsevan why not just buy the mpc's that are out already if that is what u want lol

  • As you guys are from "SoundsAndGear" why don't you postprocess your audio at least a little bit?! Really hard to follow the conversation with so much noise around.

  • @videoluege because this isn't about post processing it's about getting the info as it happens and letting people experience what it's really like on the namm floor. If you don't like it, don't watch, simple.

  • @videoluege and next you will be asking for Ryan Seacrest to host the video.

  • Click "like" if you know that after Namm... at the akai office there will be a picture of Saint Joe on the wall being used as a dart board. LOL !!! SJ is the man.

  • @KnockSquared hahaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • I reckon NI are seriously gonna up their game.... after all theres bound to be bugs and flawed features when Akai first release these just like there was with maschine. Good thing for maschine users is that now we know a release time for the Akai products NI will surely up their game and bring out a nice update before then.... will be real interesting to see how the competetion goes come winter and it benefits all us producers out there so happy days.

  • @KBEEofficial I agree, we benefit the most from this as end users

  • no other emulations confirmed? I guess they said F the sp1200 lol

  • @dilliot2k They are bringing out an SP emulator! /watch?v=Z-3ZTxgDyis

  • @dilliot2k well, they said sp1200, and possibly some asr 10 :)

  • 3 minutes to get to the fucking video jesus christ guys

  • @NeillSilva we showed everything from walking into namm, to finding the booth, to the stuff we saw along the way. Didn't know it wouldn't be right there at the front. Don't like it? Move on lol.

  • @SoundsAndGear LOL,.. i know right. Why do people complain about the intro of videos? Its a simple thing to just click further in until you get to where you want...smh

  • @KnockSquared lol, the whole point is to let people actually get the real experience of the event as much as possible, that's how I roll lol.

  • Ok now thats DOPE!!! does more than I thought lol So how did those pads feel ???

  • @DigitalMuzick pads feel good man

  • @saintjoe good job for asking question!!! Akai weren't ready 2 show us a demonstration!!!

  • NI Machine days of raining supreme are over, Akai came back and Akai back hard!!!

  • Its about time Akai jump in the back in the game.

  • is $1299.99 MSRP or street price?

  • I'll pay $599 for the Studio but $1299 for the Renaissance? Akai is crazy for a midi controller?

  • Good looking out man this is exactly the kind of review and questions and answers needed.

  • @KnockSquared Think I'll just have to remember the good times with my ex. You right bro. My new chick is pretty classy though. So we gone just ride this thing out...... I think I love her.

  • Appreciate u finding out more for us to Saint Joe. Cant wait to here more info from ya on whatever else u find out about the hardware. Good lookin out.

  • 4:47 he asks about the emulation of the 3000 and the 60 and the guy responds with yes its hardware based. Then he continues on to say something about algorithms used to achieve this

which totally contradicts The "hardware based" comment. Sounds like this dude is full of shit!

  • @lelandchapman1 good catch ! exactly my point. It does look dope. However- Everyone is so on what it "Does" and not how it "sounds" ...If it sounds like a genuine mpc and the software is good.. I could see paying for this..If not..NOPE..Not $1200

  • @RoCtheProducer I guess if you add up the cost of a high quality audio interface,

a decent software program and a nice controller your looking at around the same price.

  • @lelandchapman1 From What I've been reading. the ACTUAL hardware outs from the MPC Ren are where you get the 3k sound. But the the "other" section is a software emulation of outputs of different machines that Akai will provide (like patches).

  • @minormakeswork OK. That actually make a little more sense to me now.

  • @minormakeswork the outputs are the same circuitry as the 3k, but the vintage modes are software emulations, with a 3k, mpc60 and "other" that will cover more types

  • Sup bruh. The question I have is ... How does it compare to Maschine?

  • glad i waited i have the the mpc500 and cubase ,i make drum bass , work wiv it very well b the work flow was killing me, was going go mashine but i hear it has no mute groups , that was the down fall ,looks llike this is the one, has i know the mpc like the back my hand

check out my mpc 500 beats

  • $1299.99 OUCH! Man...that price is something else but if it's rock solid on the hardware AND software side I'm gonna have to do it! I really want all three of these joints!

  • Fam in the buildin!! make way!!

  • "it's orange and got knobs on it" LOL

  • @KnockSquared yeah son! LOL

  • I feel like I straight cheated on my girl. She was tight..we went through a lot. She gained a little weight, had some personal problems. I cheated with tight chick that reminded me of my old girl. Now my ex started workin out lookin good... And I want her back. Damn..

  • @rushaa123 LOL !!!! Great scenario !! LOL... to add to your story... your ex- that started working out... you go back to... but you find out she got a lil hygiene problem. Her insides aint right. So now you stuck again. Just because she looked good with the workouts... you found out that the one you left "upgraded herself" in the not so distant future...and EVERYBODY wants her. You stuck with a good looking chick now that stinks. LOL.

  • @KnockSquared HAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOR THE WIN SON! LIKE A BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSS

Flux cosigns this one he said LOL!!! OH MAN LOL!!!!

  • @rushaa123 I am laughing so hard right now. This is funny!

  • @CivilIllEnt man they got me CRYING!!! lol hilarious!

  • @rushaa123 hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa CLASSIC!!!!

  • Another great vid with detail. Thanks!

  • @BeatMakerTV thanks fam

  • great questions man! as always! Good lookin out! You KNEW we all wanted to know about the new MPC's! BIG UPS!

  • @garciastudios word fam, gotta ask

  • 5:00 feel like im 3 inches from his face fam .. zoom out , use wide lens something lol !! akai coming back swinging hard thou i see

  • @JSprayaEntertainment hahaha, had to make sure I got his voice, I don't have the high tech wide angle lense son LOL

  • Thank you, you are out there giving peeps the info they need. Been watching all your videos. Well respected.

    Peace

  • @givehimanotherchance thanks fam, more coming!

  • does it has note repeat

  • @kingkirby07 yes fam

  • thats not an mpc renaissance .... start with the basics bro

  • @toranamunter yeah, there's a part two to the video showing the ren, but the software is all the same

  • @SoundsAndGear ah, thanks, watching it now :) so the renaissance is it just a controller as well, like maschine - doesn't work standalone? trying to figure out these things vs maschine .. dunno what to get now!

  • this is mpc studio not renaissance

  • @PLASMA22280 yes, ren is in part 2

  • There is more to this controller and software than i thought.

    Informative.

  • If the software allows me to do stuff live similar to Ableton and allows me to play vsts with midi keyboards im sold...it's sooo pretty!

  • @MsBeatJunkie yeah you can play vsts

  • Been waitin on you to get there thanks...keep drilling him on the question because he his vague and it's probably because its still being developed and plus you know your stuff so hes probably like dang SJ knows to much I cant beat around the bush. If the software is right bye bye to my mpd 32

  • @MsBeatJunkie yeah I gotta ask the questions man yo!

  • how much r the the mpcs?

  • @babar141 about 799€-899€....i just googled it a few minutes ago

  • @babar141 299, 599, 299

  • Hello STUDIO good bye MPD 32. When is the pre order starting. Will we be able to control Reason 6 with these controllers? Hope the price is right though.

  • Thanks Saint Joe... but why didn't you guys make a beat... just a simple beat... then add some swing to it and then crank the volume up.. so we can hear a actual "Beat" playing on it.

Also... Saint Joe... which one do you plan to get... The Ren, The Studio or The Fly???

  • @notsogood I plan to do that today, just wanted to get the initial stuff today

  • how is the latency one it?

  • @blc01 didn't seem too bad

  • We are gettin' the inside scoop. Love your channel bruh. Excellent questions also.

  • @hillprop97 thanks fam!

  • they had hip hop producers repp'n the product in marketing. totally should have had sum1 that new this isssh inside out flipping samples and sequencing.

    Props SJ as always

  • @djcharliehoodfresh word fam

  • wow. no vst's were ready.

  • @djcharliehoodfresh well they just didn't have any loaded on the laptop

  • My brain since hearing of the new MPC's the other day: "Hunh, Rennaisance? Looks like Akai's trying to compete with Maschine." "Oh, it has an audio interface? Cool." "Oh, Studio? Nice, as slim as I always thought Maschine should have been." "WHAT? THAT HAS AN AUDIO INTERFACE TOO?" "Software seems pretty cool." "Wait...did my Maschine just become obsolete?" "Crap, I need an income."

  • @Swenglish lol, maschine and the mpc are two different products, two different workflows, neither one makes the other obsolete :)

  • @SoundsAndGear Well, that's nice to hear, but try fitting the Maschine controller and an external audio interface in a laptop bag (even a backpack would be a tight fit unless one has the Micro...which I don't). Though I suppose ultimately it all comes down to the yet-to-be-seen aspects of the software, and how it stacks up in terms of what can and can't be done. So I'll reserve my grief.

  • @Swenglish LOL, well yeah the studio is a lot slimmer, but the Ren...no backpack for that LOL

  • @SoundsAndGear Yeah, the Renaissance is clearly not a portable solution. And I think it's wise of Akai to be putting out three versions, since there are obviously going to be different kinds of users with different needs and different sized wallets.

  • I'm less enthused about it. Looking forward to seeing you mess with the Ren

  • @KnockSquared gotta see what the software is like, controllers seem well built, I dig the feel of the pads

  • I like how he dodged your wanting to know can the vst's open up from hardware.

  • @KnockSquared I think this guy was only just learning about the features as they came out of Saint Joe's mouth.

  • @TheExplodingBit LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @KnockSquared LOL you know I gotta ask the questions dude lol

  • Good stuff Joe, thanks for letting us into the show with this footage. We need to see that Renny tho'. Let's get it!

  • @KeysBeMe part 2 fam

  • does it have its own harddrive

  • @KWANTlZE no, it's only a controller

  • WHEN WILL WE BE ABLE TO BUY IT???

  • @theoutsideas they didn't say, I'm hearing summer though maybe july/august

  • @SoundsAndGear thanks for the fast feedback ... they should make it come out next month...lol but I bet people will be selling their maschines fast and cheap...

  • @theoutsideas don't know about all that, they are still really different products, even though similar. Sorta like mv8000 and mpc was, just different takes on a similar concept.

  • @SoundsAndGear i agree im going to get both I love hardware drum machines i got maschine and maschine mikro...

  • Thanks St Joe. You were the first on only so far to bring us a taste of mpc footage. "You know where we going first", lol!!!!!! Appreciate cha!!!!

  • @mistawil you know I had to do it, part 2 is uploading right now lol

  • if that mpc cost more than 600$ im sticking with NI maschine

  • @NINOBROWN914 lucky you then =) it costs 599 dollars!

  • @ImDino dam i should of said 75 cents loool

  • @ImDino only the slim one is 599, big one is 1299

  • @NINOBROWN914 on top of that I defy them to come anywhere near the library quality of even maschines stock... well you could buy komplete

  • @NINOBROWN914 the big one cost 1299, the slim one is 599

  • @SoundsAndGear i can work with 600$ but i'll wait until you buy it 1st because i know you are lol

  • @NINOBROWN914 ahaaaaaaaaaa lol, you know I gotta have one man, it's my duty lol. Gotta let folks know what's up with it

  • MPC DJ!!!??! LOL THATS FUCKING AWESOME xD I LOVE YOU AKAI, ALL OVER AGAIN

  • @ImDino yeah, I was like WHAT! lol...it's just a concept right now, not sure which software it will work with

  • damn sj you knew more about that mpc than that guy at the booth lol

  • @NINOBROWN914 you know how we do fam LOL

  • Keep interrogating him, man! LOL. This guy is very vague but you're eventually getting the answers out of him.

  • @TheExplodingBit that's what I'm here for, to ask the questions we all want to know. I got to go get some more answers too lol

  • @SoundsAndGear How does the MPC Studio's pad compared to Maschine's? I'm thinking of picking that one up eventually if Akai got the software right. I don't plan on selling Maschine though. I do not want the MPC-R's audio I/O. The emulations were done at the hardware I/O, right? This isn't a software feature? I guess that just means some of us will keep sampling from older units...

  • did you get to see the Renaissance and Max49?

  • @teeblack06 yep, posted a video for the max and the rennaissance is in part 2 of the video.

  • @SoundsAndGear i cant seem to find part 2 of this video

  • @teeblack06 just finished uploading fam

  • AKAI has officaily "EEFFFED" the MPC name up, Why "Midi Production Controller"? What was wrong with MPD...wait! what did MPD stand for again...The shot callers at NUKAI-LESIS-MARK are straight BUTTWIZARDS!!!! They straight jacked NI's Maschine concept.

  • @charlieplatnum because it's a controller now LOL...we all knew there would be more to do what NI did, it's the natural evolution of the product type

  • NAMM is always exciting man, I wish I could have attended this year. This thing looks amazin to me from here, might be one of these in my near future, dammit like I need it but being the gearhed, tech junky I am I wont be able to resist, I just know it. Keep it coming Joe, Thanks!

  • @Soulgian I'm a gear head too, so I feel you, it's definitely exciting!

  • Yo I NEED NEED NEED SUPER NEED one of those AKAI Lanyards that he has on with the 16 Pads!!! If you can cop me one of those fam, I will Paint your buttons for FREE.99!!

  • @TripleXBeatz LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hahaha " ITS ORANGE.. IT GOT KNOBS ON IT" lol my man.

  • @TripleXBeatz hahahahaha LOL

  • whats the price for the thing

  • @theoutsideas big one is 1299, slim/silver one is 599, ipad one is 299

  • @SoundsAndGear THANKS MAN WHEN IS IT GOING TO BE READY TO BUY???

  • It's this versus maschine/maschine 2.0. I wonder what the price will be

  • You are the man for this one!!! You were on it homeboy!!! LOL

  • @wwil74 hahaha, part 2 is uploading now fam

  • MPC DJ = Numark NS7 + 16 MPC Pads. I want to see it in action but it officially ruins the MPC name for me.

  • @tasherredenajetic yes, it's a dj controller, similar to NI with their new 16 pad dj controller, I imagine for triggering samples, cue points, etc

  • maschines gonna have to step their game up

  • Yo I knew you would cover this that's why I didn't even try to look it up I knew you would cover what the fans wanted big ups huge fan keep doing your thing fam and oh yea what do you think about it do you think it's going to beat the maschine and what type of price you think it's going to beat or worth in your opinion

  • @djbigz187 I look at it as an mpc, and those that want the mpc workflow will love it. I don't think it will be like maschine, it's similar, but they have different concepts, so each will have it's own workflow. Of course this will also be very welcomed by many who have no interest in maschine because it will have a very familiar workflow. If you've used an mpc, you will be able to rock this off top, nothing really new to learn. I think it will do well if the software is right.

  • that mpc dj controller looks nice!!

  • @PRODUCERSANDDEEJAYS figured you'd like that fam :)

  • Thanks.

I was trying to watch that cpu usage bar in the software.

  • @geekblack yeah, they didn't have any plugins in there so nothing really to see, maybe that was on purpose?

  • Next level stuff Joe....love the laughter!

  • @Uprightest hahahaha, man I just keep it raw fam, that's how I do it, just trying to bring yall what ya want yo! :)

  • good thing he knew his product

  • @TunezTv you know I'm gonna ask the real questions lol

  • Good stuff Joe!

  • I knew you would get this. I was trying to email you but you went! I koew you would get the scoop!

  • @CivilIllEnt hahahaha, part 2 is coming fam lol, and I still got some more to ask him

  • More joe

  • @c2mojo part 2 is uploading right now fam

  • Thanks Fam!! That was quick! lol

  • @prettdboy hahahahaha lol, you know me man

  • Im getting this. Im glad I waited this long to see it in action after hearing the rumors about its design. I been a MPC fanboy since I originally had the MPC2000 and now im glad I can combine my software with the MPC Studio having that hardware sound

  • @TatumMartinMusic i'm going to try to find out more about the hardware

  • @SoundsAndGear me too, and i'd like to have this software working with my MPD32 ))
