  • :) My comment was not to criticize, rather it was more to share another way to put that awesome axis pedal to work.

kevincarman dot com ( i dont have longboards, just normal ones. The long board works much better for me on the hihat instead. Looks like you might have the money to try out a longboard hihat, and I will say it is my favorite piece of gear.)

Keep up the good work! Make more vids! :)

  • As you are pushing down on the pedal, learn where your foot is on the downstroke. Work towards releasing the pressure BEFORE the beater hits the head. If you keep the pressure on the pedal all the way to impact there will be no rebound, and if you wanna get fast feet (and hands) the rebound will need to do about 95% of the work...

  • i know, that was a really bad vid, cause i had to hold the camera so i wasn't actually playing..soo i couldn't really tell what tempo i was at

  • Crank up the spring tension on yer Axis. Buy a kevlar patch or some other impact pad for the kick drum. While certainly awesome for single strokes, your longboard axis pedals were built with heel-toe type double strokes. Work on one foot of time....
