  • In regards of Coffee as an experience I guess

  • @redrockfilms12 I don't know for sure but I would imagine they are similar. Flavor wise there is not much difference. I do know that. Has Bean sent me some coffee to review and it was delicious.

  • Hi, Great video, really enjoy watching these

Quick question, Have you ever been to England or anywhere else in the Uk?

I'm just wondering because I have never been to the US and would you say that Coffee in general is any different at all?

Thanks again and good job :)

  • @redrockfilms12 in regards to Starbucks?

  • Hi! Love your videos! I work at a licensed Starbucks and personally I find the Veranda Blend too acidic on it's own. I think it's a good milk and sugar coffee because it's not too dark and doesn't leave a gross coffee taste in your mouth. It kind of sucks though because you can't put cream in it because it curdles. You think Starbucks would have thought about that before hand!

  • @kaytheliberal interesting, I will have to test that.

  • No way this taste like Folgers. I've been drinking Folgers for past 10 years and had a free sample of this from Starbucks and found it was very good. No after taste that Folgers gives. I suffer from GERD and coffee generally gives me heartburn, but this is perfect for me. No heartburn when drinking this.

  • @igoinsane67 I am glad you found something you like. To me it's not exactly like folgers but an overpriced step up from Folgers.

  • Starbucks purchases commercial coffee lots that are not the highest grade despite it from being grown in a particular region. If you compare a micro grown in the same region lot that renown roasters purchase who are part of the SCAA, its a world of a difference. Micro lots are low in quantity but they are usually the highest grade in a particular region. Starbucks does not and will never purchase from these small high grade lots do to there necessity for huge bulk volumes.

  • @TheRealButtcheddaa Great information again! Thanks so much. Love reading your comments.

  • @CoffeeCupNews Yea glad you learned something. I actually know the head roaster at social coffee and tea so I usually learn something from them occasionally. Some of these lots can be as low as 5 lbs. The lots are usually sold auction style.

  • Wow, this is obnoxious. As a beer snob, even we are as big of a dbag as this guy when it comes to tasting.

  • @coolkatz321 sorry that you don't care for my style.

  • You might want to start putting the coffee from your french press in another container. Even though you have pushed the grounds to the bottom, the water is still in contact and is over extracting from them .

  • @Beznet Some people even pour their FPed coffee through a pre-rinsed cone filter to remove the grounds. ;)

  • @Beznet I hear ya but I pour the coffee directly after plunging for the tasting.

  • Premium Folgers?? A can of Maxwell House always smells like cat pee to me -- glad to see that Starbucks is lowering its standards once again.

  • sighs, charbox strikes again...

  • @8tpz81 ;)

  • Great review! No wonder I got a big bag of the sample bags two weeks ago when I was in there.I asked about them, since I got email about the sample bags and the barista gave me like 12 bags. lol!

  • @CoffeeCupNews pumped for the video, hopefully comes out in the coming days. If its good ill get it. Just got Starbucks House Blend for K-cup and its awesome. Exactly like u reviewed it. I'm sticking with it! Keep up the good work!

  • @poweradetwist posting it tomorrow morning.

  • Awesome video. Can't wait for willow review!!

  • @poweradetwist thanks. Tasting it today.

  • I'm surprised you don't like it

    as a Bold drinker

    am very impressed with Veranda

The Willow was the unpleasant one for me

  • I am with you on this one, seems like a cheap coffee and only a step above instant.

  • I'm surprised you don't like it... as a Bold drinker, I am very impressed with Veranda... The Willow was the unpleasant one for me :\

  • @ImTheCanadianEh @coffeecupnews This is a great case of perception vs. marketing. Incredibly interesting. Light roasts carry the most origin flavor as everyone knows, but Starbucks markets Blonde as "milder" simply because (logically to me anyway) they can't offer fresh light roast. So they are actually marketing stale light roast as mild coffee. Hilarious! The "bold" has more flavor at the same age just because roast flavor carries longer, of course most people haven't a clue...

  • @renix that's ok. 99.9999% of people, coffee drinkers or not, would not be able to tell the difference. It's pretty funny to me you're challenging my opinion---oxymoron if you ask me.

  • @ImTheCanadianEh Not challenging your opinion for merit, it certainly holds merit and people like what they like. I constantly challenge people's knowledge base when it comes to coffee, however including Jason here and many cafe owners who I've have taught a thing or two.

  • @ImTheCanadianEh I also know that the assertion that 99.9% is not true. I have proven it false with a "test subject" who doesn't like black coffee. Great fun for me and my pursuit of science. I'm not sure which "difference" you were referring to since you left that open to interpretation.

  • @renix hey, good to see ya in the comments. Thanks for schooling me in some coffee knowledge from time to time. ;)
