I worked on the TAG Railroad out of Chattanooga to Gadsden. Miss eating at Runt's Place and spending the night at the Downtowner. I was young and had a great time out at night waiting to make the return trip to Chattanooga.
*Crying* I so miss my home. I live in Michigan now but I will always be a country girl from Gadsden Alabama, very proud of where I come from. I loved this vid, you did a wonderful job! Thank you!
I was born at Holy Name of Jesus Hospital . Gadsden like you will always be my home . I return once a month to visit my mother she is laid to rest at Forest Cem.
Thrilled that anyone has even viewed the video. I am originally from Atlanta, but married a Gadsdenite and raised my children there......I moved on to south Florida over 10 years ago,but my children and grandchildren are still there. I make it back once or twice a year for a visit. It is my home, and I love it.
I was raised in this city up around N Falls. This is a great video! This is going to show up as karaokekid31545 I think, but that is my husband. I did not realize at the time that he was signed in on my computer. I am WandaWoman.
My grandmother was born here. Last summer I went down here to meet some relatives that I haven`t seen since I was 7 years old. It truly is a wonderful peaceful town, I`d do anything just to live there. Poeple are so kind, they don`t judge you in any way. Unlike here in Detroit Michigan. I hate it here. Just because it is my home town (Wayne not Detroit) I guess I have to take pride in it.
Raised on Litchfield Avenue in good old Starnes Park. Married my first girlfriend who lived across the street. Went back about 10 years ago to where I had lived. Couldn't believe what I saw. What a change.
By the way, the video is very good. Thank you to whom ever did it.
nelsons is now gadsden variety or deli or something like that. and they are trying to sell it now!
